FANDANGO Premieres NEW Moviecips Mini Movies Featuring Brian The Minion!

Fandango, the nation’s leading digital destination for moviegoers and fans, premiered a new series of original video shorts entitled “Movieclips Mini Movies: Featuring Brian the Minion.” The release of the mini movies represents the first-ever collaboration among Fandango Movieclips, Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures. Illumination created the “Despicable Me” movies, which first introduced the world to the Minions, as well as the series’ prequel, “Minions,” which opens in theaters on July 10.

The new weekly series introduces a brand new Minion character, “Brian,” an excited moviegoer, who accompanies his sweet-yet-subversive Minion brothers to the movies. Mayhem ensues in the theater as Brian’s unpredictable fellow Minions react to scenes from Universal classics like “Fast Times at Ridgemont High,” “Back to the Future,” “E.T.,” and others.

In this week’s premiere episode, available for viewing at Fandango Movieclips on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqrARyBnURI, the Minions relive the thrills of the original “Jurassic Park.” The episode is timed to the release of Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment’s “Jurassic World,” which opens in theaters this Friday.

The series will air exclusively across Fandango’s digital network, including Fandango Movieclips, the No. 1 movie trailer and content channel on YouTube, Fandango.com, plus Fandango channels on Hulu, Roku and Samsung’s Milk Video Service.

“Movieclips Mini Movies” is the latest video series from Fandango Movieclips, which celebrates the joys of moviegoing. Last month, the company launched “I Love Movies,” which showcases the impact movies have made on cultural influencers across the globe. Sharing personal stories of how films have touched their lives, guests include NBA All-Star Dwight Howard, Grammy Award winner Reba McEntire, skateboarding icon and X Games gold medalist Tony Hawk, five-time heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield, award-winning TV host Larry King, rock legend Slash, country music artist Darius Rucker, and others throughout the summer.
