FANDANGO Premiering "I Love Movies" Episodes At The 2015 CMT FEST in Nashville!

Fandango Movieclips Original Video Series to Showcase How Movies Have Inspired and Influenced the Country Music Superstars in Pivotal Moments of Their Lives

Fandango, the nation’s leading digital destination for moviegoers and fans, announced today plans to debut new episodes of "I Love Movies" featuring CMA Award winners Darius Rucker and Reba in front of thousands of Country fans at the CMA Music Festival in Nashville on June 11-14. “I Love Movies” is an original video series that showcases cultural influencers across the globe, sharing personal stories of how movies have touched their lives.

Episodes featuring the Country music superstars will air on the screens at the Nightly Concerts at LP Field and at other venues throughout the four-day festival, known as the Ultimate Country Music Fan Experience, as well as on Fandango’s digital network, which reaches 36 million unique visitors per month and includes Fandango Movieclips, the number one movie trailer and content channel on YouTube, plus Fandango channels on Hulu, Roku and Samsung’s Milk Video Service.

“Movies helped shape who I am today,” said Darius Rucker. “It’s joyous to see something meaningful on the big screen, providing important moments in your life. I remember the first time I saw ‘Purple Rain,’ I was instantly changed. I’m getting chills just thinking about it.”

“Music and movies have inspired me in so many ways,” said Reba. “Both are not only significant parts of my career but my life. A great lyric or line from a film has the ability to take your mind somewhere new. I’m excited to share some of my favorite moments with ‘I Love Movies.’"

Other Country greats will take part in “I Love Movies” interviews at CMA Fest as part of a larger partnership between Fandango and the CMA culminating in a special Country Music-themed “I Love Movies” programming block that will run in the fall across Fandango’s digital network, timed with “The 49th Annual CMA Awards” in November.

“Country Music and the movies are kindred spirits, as both share authentic life stories that leave meaningful, lasting effects on their audiences,” said Adam Rockmore, head of marketing at Fandango. “We’re excited to share Darius and Reba’s ‘I Love Movies’ episodes at CMA Fest, giving them a new and unique platform to connect with their fans.”

Interviews for “I Love Movies” were conducted by New York Times bestselling author and writer-at-large for Esquire Magazine, Cal Fussman. New episodes are released weekly, featuring athletes, musicians, television personalities, innovators and others, talking about the impact of iconic movies like “Rocky,” “Finding Nemo,” “The Sound of Music,” “The Spy Who Loved Me,” “The Naked Gun,” “Purple Rain,” “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation,” and many more.

Darius is gearing up for two special performances at the CMA Music Festival. On Sunday morning, June 14, Darius will be the Artist of the Day at AT&T U-Verse® Fan Fair X and appear on the CMA Close Up Stage, then will perform that evening during the Nightly Concerts at LP Field. His “Homegrown Honey” has been nominated for Video of the Year at the 2015 CMT Music Awards, which takes place on June 10, and he is currently headlining his Southern Style Tour across North America this summer and fall.

CMA Music Festival will be the hottest concert destination of the summer for Country fans as Darius and fellow Country artists Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Brett Eldredge, Florida Georgia Line, Sam Hunt, Alan Jackson, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Neal McCoy, Oak Ridge Boys, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Thomas Rhett, Cole Swindell, The Band Perry, The Oak Ridge Boys, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Wynonna & The Big Noise, and Zac Brown Band will each take the stage during the Nightly Concerts at LP Field.
