Fashion Rebel Outfit Maker #Review & #Giveaway! (U.S.) Ends 11/22 #HolidayGiftGuide #FashionRebel

Thames & Hudson publishes a sketchbook for daring young fashion rebels who want to create their own stylish looks!

A silk evening gown with a grunge cardigan and cool, retro hi-tops. Surfer shorts with jeweled slippers and a tough motorcycle jacket. Skinny jeans with a peasant blouse, cowboy boots, and a flower crown. Today, the most exciting fashion design combines colors, materials, and styles to create completely unique looks.

Fashion Rebel Outfit Maker includes everything aspiring designers ages 8 and up need to break the mold and create their own brilliant outfits. This exciting activity book features a drawing pad with the outline of a model on each page, and clothing template cards in a convenient pocket behind the front cover. Each card has easy-to-replicate outlines of a whole range of garments and accessories, from dresses and coats to shoes, scarves, and bathing suits. The young designer chooses a garment on a card, slides it behind a translucent sketchbook page, and traces the outline over their model. Then they repeat the process until the model’s outfit is complete. Each page has a fill-in Garment Box similar to those used in design studios, so budding fashion illustrators can note all the details about the design and choose a name for each look.

Savvy young designers can come up with imaginative creations by mixing all kinds of pieces, from preppy slacks and sporty tops to rockabilly skirts and Parisian-chic berets, pushing fashion boundaries and cultivating a sketchbook bursting with ideas and attitude.

About the Creators:

My Review:
I feel that the Fashion Rebel Outfit Maker is a great thing for girls or boys who are looking to design their own clothing, but they don't know where to start. My six year old daughter was super excited about being able to trace and then design and decorate the clothing on the models. The folder has a sketch pad with thin paper so that a child or person can place the cards underneath the paper and trace the skirt, pants, dresses, etc. There's even a card with patterns & trim on it so that you can make the skirt or shirt cheetah print, chevron printed and more! I feel that even five and size year old children and adults alike would like the Fashion Rebel Outfit Maker!
