Rascal Flatts NEW CD "Changed" Review!
My favorite Rascal Flatts songs are "Bless the Broken Road," "Mayberry," and "Life is a Highway" (from the Disney movie "Cars." So when the opportunity came in my email to review their newest music CD, I jumped on it! My family and I LOVE their music! We love country music and we listen to it pretty much everyday. We live right outside of Nashville, Tennessee for heaven's sakes, you can't help but fall in love with country music and Rascal Flatts!
Rascal Flatts has sold more than 21 million albums and 25 million digital downloads. They have seen 13 singles hit the top of the charts, spending more than eight months collectively at #1! They have won more than 40 major awards, including seven ACM trophies for "Vocal Group of the Year" and six trophies for CMA "Vocal Group of the Year." Rascal Flatts recently added a Grand Ole Opry membership, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (which is still yet to be officially put in place) and the prestigious "Country Radio Seminar 2012 Artist Humanitarian Award to their long list of accomplishments.
Rascal Flatts new album "Changed" talks about real-life issues. "I feel like some of the best material we've ever cut is on this record," says Joe Don. "It's got some of the most vulnerable and transparent material we've ever cut, adds Jay."
"Everything is in this big crock pot called Changed," says Gary with a laugh "It's got meat, potatoes, vegetables-all of it. It's fun, it's poignant, and we think the hard work that went into (it) has really paid off. And we're very glad to take one more big step down the road."
Rascal Flatts is committed to giving back. They are well known for their charitable work, which includes raising three million dollars for the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tennessee. It's something close to all of their hearts. "To give back when you're in a position to give seems like a natural thing to do," says Jay. "It's our responsibility as three guys who've been very blessed."
One of the first songs released from Rascal Flatts "Changed" album is called "Banjo." Go to the Rascal Flatts website to view the video and listen to the song!
Check here for Rascal Flatts Tour Dates! They will be in Nashville, TN on May 22nd and May 26th at the Grand Ole Opry!
