Borax Review and Giveaway! (2 winners) (U.S.) Ends 1/27 (Rafflecopter)

When I think of Borax, I remember that it's non-toxic, and that I can use it to clean almost anything. You can also sprinkle Borax on your carpets, pet beds, outside kennels, and it will kill any and all fleas! We had to do this last summer. All of a sudden, we had fleas and they started to bite me and our newborn daughter. So we bought three boxes of Borax and sprinkled it all over our house, stairs, and outside in our dog's kennel and in their dog houses. We let it sit over night and then we vacuumed when we woke up the next morning. After that, we had no more fleas! We haven't seen or felt one since.

I know many friends who use Borax to make their own, homemade laundry detergent. I am not interested in doing this, and I don't see the need at the moment.

About Borax: (from their website)
Borax is the common name for sodium tetraborate: a naturally occurring substance produced by the repeated evaporation of seasonal lakes.

20 Mule Team® Borax is 100% natural, and 99.5% pure (there is about a half of 1% of naturally occurring trace minerals). Once removed from the ground it is washed, dried, and boxed for consumers.

Borates, borax and boron compounds are with us throughout our lives. Families use it to soak and wash diapers and other laundry, but it’s also an ingredient in cosmetics, medicines, ceramics and building materials.

The biggest industrial user of borates is the glass industry (especially fiberglass and gorilla glass). It’s an important ingredient in agricultural chemicals and fire retardants.

20 Mule Team Borax comes from California where one of the world’s largest deposits was discovered in 1913. Absolutely nothing is added. No phosphates, per-oxside, chlorine, or other additive chemicals.
