  1. I found it interesting that mosquitoes do not need a lot of water to breed, 1 inch of water is enough. Also that yellow bug lights will attract mosquitoes less than blue lights! My kids would love this set!!

  2. We have mosquitoes so bad here in New Orleans and really can't be outside much around dusk. I found that eucalyptus oil can really help keep them away. In a spray bottle mix eucalyptus and some water and spray on before going outside. I like this better then harsh smelling OFF.

  4. I learned that certain smells can attract mosquitoes. So maybe refrain from using perfume.

  5. I am unfortunately the one in our family who always gets bit by those pesky mosquitoes! I am always looking for different ways to repel them.

  10. When inspecting your yard for mosquitoes, look for bobbing in water to find (then kill) the larvae.

    Perfumes, scented soaps, and lotions can attract adult mosquitoes just like standing water sources and exhaled gases do.

  13. Someone told me today that taking a garlic supplement every day will keep mosquitoes and other bugs from biting you. I don't know if that's true but it would be worth trying!
