Crazy Rich Asians - Movie Review! #CrazyRichAsians @CrazyRichMovie
Jon M. Chu (“Now You See Me 2”) directed the contemporary romantic comedy “Crazy Rich Asians,” based on the acclaimed worldwide bestseller by Kevin Kwan.
The story follows New Yorker Rachel Chu (Constance Wu) as she accompanies her longtime boyfriend, Nick Young (Henry Golding), to his best friend’s wedding in Singapore. Excited about visiting Asia for the first time but nervous about meeting Nick’s family, Rachel is unprepared to learn that Nick has neglected to mention a few key details about his life. Not only is he the scion of one of the country’s wealthiest families, but also one of its most sought-after bachelors. Being on Nick’s arm puts a target on Rachel’s back, with jealous socialites and, worse, Nick’s own disapproving mother (Michelle Yeoh) taking aim.
It soon becomes clear that the only thing crazier than love is family, in this funny and romantic story sure to ring true for audiences everywhere.
My Review:
"Crazy Rich Asians" is a really good, heartfelt, hilarious movie! This movie is for ALL people ages 16 and up. There is no bad language or nudity. But there's so adult content and situations that aren't suitable for young children. I am thinking about reading the book because the movie was so good!!!
When you watch "Crazy Rich Asians," you will get to take a look into what it's like to be rich and privileged, but yet, it's not just about that. For women, it's for standing up for what you want in life, and for what you believe in! This movie will make you want to visit Singapore! The country looks amazing to visit, and maybe to even live there! Make sure you eat before you see this movie, or your going to get hungry because of all the great food featured in the film!
This is a great romantic comedy. This isn't just a chick flick, it's for both men and women. Men will like it just as much as women will! The wedding scene is AWESOME!
Go take a break from reality, and go see CRAZY RICH ASIANS this weekend!
