The Emoji Movie Review! #EmojiMovie

Who doesn't love Emojis?! I do! They are so cute! But to think of them as having their own world and actually living in it! Now that's awesome! They live in a city called Textopolis. The "Meh" emoji has his first day on the job and he really messes it up. So they try to delete him! So he goes on a journey to save himself and he meets a few new friends along the way. Can he help save the emoji's and everything else from being deleted? Watch the movie to find out! The movie soundtrack is pretty cool too!

Addicted to Americana - Book Review! 2017 Airplanes and Dragonflies Christmas Gift Guide #ChristmasGiftGuide #HolidayGiftGuide

"Addicted to Americana: Celebrating Classic & Kitschy American Life & Style" is a great gift for most anyone. I am forty two years old, and old enough to remember many of photos in this book. I grew up in southern California and my family and I traveled a lot when I was a little girl. We did a lot of camping. My parents came to visit and I shared this book with them. They loved it so much that I let them take it home. Most of my childhood memories are wrapped up in the photos in this book.

About the book:
Raised on a used-car lot, Charles Phoenix was destined to become the Ambassador of Americana. The photo collector, food crafter, and field tripper is famed for his hilarious live show performances and "theme park" tour of downtown Los Angeles. This riotously colorful book, replete with Charles's collection of vintage Kodachrome slides, celebrates his lifelong quest to unearth the best of classic and kitschy American life and style.

Charles Phoenix is a showman, tour guide, food crafter, and author known for his live comedy slide-show performances, madcap test-kitchen videos, field-trip-style adventure tours, and colorful books. The self-proclaimed "vintage culture vulture" has appeared on Martha Stewart, The Queen Latifah Show and Cake Wars, been profiled in The Washington Post and the Los Angeles Times, and been a guest on NPR's The Splendid Table.

Check out some more photos below:

This used to be what Disneyland in Anaheim, CA's Teacups ride used to look like.

Disneyland took this ride out after some people decided to try to climb out, and if I remember right, someone fell to their death. The tracks are still there, but the ride is gone forever.

When we drove down Hwy.40 from Tennessee to California and back again, we saw at least one Dinosaur. Some of them still exist!

I actually remember playing on a slide similar to this one when I was little. Crazy how time flies!

My family and I used to frequent a Bob's Big Boy restaurant back in the late 70's and into the 80's. There are now only five locations left in California. Their hamburgers are so delicious! I loved their fresh salad bar in Downey, CA last time I was there.

Adopt a "Reindeer in Here!" Your New Christmas Tradition! #ReindeerInHere

One day last week, we received a cardboard box by our front door that said this:

My two girls were super excited to open the box after the read the outside!

The past five years or so, the elves have over taken the market, along with their elf pets. But there's a NEW kid in town now, called "Reindeer in Here." It's cute in it's own way, cuddly, light weight, and my five year old found her new love.

The Reindeer in Here is similar to the Elf Pets, but it doesn't have any overly priced accessories such as coats, pajamas, and more! Same with the Elves. I can't find myself spending $10 to $15 or more on Elf clothing. I like this reindeer. I like the story inside the book, and that there's a place to put your Reindeer in Here's name. We named ours Charlie.

(Please don't mind the mess in the background, as my children are super creative and their paper, scissors, glue sticks, crayons, lap desks, and more are in our living room. They are making memories. I no matter clean it up, and in less than 24 hours, they take it all out again. They are eight and five.)

How It Works
In early December the Reindeer In Here book and plush “magically” arrive for your child, setting the stage for a new yearly Christmas tradition. It’s their FIRST gift of the holiday season from Santa — and it came early! As the parent surprises their child with this unexpected early Christmas present, they introduce them to the special “untold” story of the reindeer.

As the story unfolds, the child learns that many years ago Santa asked his reindeer for some help locating each child’s home. But this time, not only did Santa want help in finding  their homes, he also wanted to learn much more about each individual child and didn’t know the best way to do it.  One special little reindeer who was born with one antler smaller than the other and big blue eyes quickly suggested a way. The little reindeer said Santa should send some of his reindeer EARLY in the month of December to stay with the children so Santa could learn as much as possible about each child —where they live, what they like, what they don’t like, what they do each day, where they go, who their family is, and where Santa should leave presents on Christmas Eve. Then every night while the child sleeps with the reindeer next to him or her, the reindeer writes notes to Santa detailing their daily adventures.

From that moment on, the bond begins with the child and their reindeer as they uncover what they should do with it every day leading up to Christmas. After naming their own reindeer, the child is encouraged to show it around, taking it to a different place each day, both inside and out of the house so that when Santa comes on Christmas Eve, he knows as much as possible about the child, how good they’ve been and exactly where to deliver the presents.

On Christmas Eve, the child should put their reindeer under the tree so it can greet Santa.  After Santa finds the reindeer, it will go with him to guide his sleigh back to the North Pole until next year — when the child’s Christmas reindeer will return in early December to see his friend once more! This holiday tradition will unfold for many years to come as the child looks forward to that magical time of year when their very own special reindeer comes back to see them again!

About The Creator:
Adam Reed is the creator of the Reindeer in Here, and he's a Dad!

Adam Reed never had any intention of becoming a children’s book author. Before his daughter was born in 2015 and he became a dad, he had a dream. In it he heard a voice tell him two things: “write children’s books,” and the title of what would become his first book, BEE IN THE SEA.

BEE IN THE SEA was then published and has since gone on to be awarded three first place Royal Dragonfly Awards, including Best New Author, a first place Purple Dragonfly Award, and a finalist award in the Next Generation Indie Book Awards. It is currently available on Amazon.

After the success of BEE IN THE SEA, and about a month before his daughter turned one in January, Adam happened to be browsing in a store leading up to Christmas. He was looking for something to start creating holiday traditions with his family and only came across one option — an elf. As he looked at it and dug into the story he was taken aback by how creepy it looked, how intimidating the story was to children, and how stressful the “tradition” came to be for parents.

With that, he struck out to create a fresh NEW Christmas tradition not only for his family, but for children and families all over the world.  In doing so he vowed to take all the negatives of the elf, and turn them into positives, creating a magical story, an adorable plush, and a holiday brand that would bring a new meaning to family traditions at Christmastime for years to come. He hopes that with REINDEER IN HERE he has done just that. To read more about Mr. Reed, click here and scroll down.

There's a catch! You can't purchase the Reindeer in Here until November 24th, Black Friday! Come back on November 24th and click on the link above to purchase your very own Reindeer in Here!
