Hormel Compleats Meals for Kids Review & Giveaway! (U.S.) - CLOSED

I received four (4) Hormel Compleats Meals for Kids in the mail to try out from Hormel Compleats Kids Microwave Meals. These meals come in four different flavors, Beef Ravioli, Spaghetti and Meatballs, Pasta and Chicken, and Macaroni and Beef.

I really wasn't impressed at all. Each meal has no preservatives, additives, or artificial colors. They are very well sealed and it only takes 45 seconds to cook them in the microwave. I personally tried a few bites of the ravioli meal and it wasn't that great. It had hardly any flavor at all and it didn't smell nice. The sauce of the Beef Ravioli meal tasted gritty like there was cornmeal in it or something. It was really thick, and overall, not appetizing. The Beef Ravioli Mean only contains 230 calories which isn't bad. 20mg cholesterol, 450mg of sodium, 34 grams of total carbs, 6 grams of sugar, but only 10 grams of protein. I wonder what the meat in the beef ravioli actually contains for it not to have much protein in it? The Beef Ravioli Meal only contains 3 grams of fiber, that's not every much. I don't feel that there is much nutrition in these meals at all. Where's the veggies?

Chloe, my almost 21 month old, didn't like the smell of any of the meals. I tried one bite of each of the other meals and ended up throwing them away when Chloe wouldn't eat them at all. They really had no flavor. Each meal contains about 450 to 550 milligrams of salt, which for us, is a lot. We have to stick to a low sodium diet, and these meals don't fit our diets. We keep the kids on low sodium diets also because high blood pressure runs in our families.

These meals all have the word "Healthy Food For Kids" posted on the front of them. I didn't feel so healthy after having a few bites. The ingredients include dehydrated cheddar cheese and pasteurized process american cheese.

Click HERE or on the image above to go to Hormel.com to find out more information about these meals and Hormel. If your children and family like Chef Boyardee, then you might like these. I have had Chef Boyardee ravioli's and other canned pasta from them, and they have way more flavor. Chloe doesn't like these either, but she might, in time.

Purex Complete with Zout Review and Giveaway! (2 winners) U.S. - CLOSED

To my excitement, I received a bottle of Purex Free & Clear Complete laundry detergent with Zout! It is Fragrance free and it's hypoallergenic for sensitive skin. I have used my bottle of Purex Free & Clear Complete detergent on everything like socks, t-shirts, jeans, towels, and anything else that I can think of. Everything came out very clean and with no stains! There was no added scent to any of the items that I washed either! That is a huge bonus. I don't like my clothes to smell like my laundry detergent or fabric softener.

Purex with Zout is the first Free & Clear laundry detergent to call out an added stain fighter. It combines the proven performance of Purex detergent with the triple-enzyme stain-fighting power of Zout Stain Remover. It is specifically formulated to work in both traditional and HE (High Efficiency) washers. Purex Complete with Zout can be used as both a pre-treater and a detergent making it great for everyday laundry and heavily soiled loads.

How it Fights Stains
Purex Complete with Zout contains three powerful stain-fighting enzymes. Each enzyme targets a different type of stain:

*Protease: Works against protein based stains such as grass and blood.

*Amylase: Works against starchy stains such as chocolate and tomato sauce.

*Mannanase: Works against guar, which is used as a thickener in many foods, such as ice cream, barbecue sauce, and salad dressing, because it's super sticky. Unfortunately it really sticks to fabrics too, making stains difficult to remove. That's why the Mannanase enzyme is so important in Purex Complete with Zout.

Purex Complete with Zout is not only tough on stains, but it also costs far less than the leading brand of liquid detergent. It is priced from $3.49 to $7.99 depending on size and retailer. It also comes in Fresh Morning Burst scent.

Want to try it out for yourself? Get a FREE SAMPLE of Purex Complete with Zout and “Prove it to yourself”

Buy It:
Purex Complete with Zout is available for purchase nationwide in stores such as Walmart, Target, Kroger, and Publix.

Win It: - CLOSED
Two (2) of my readers will win a coupon for a FREE bottle of Purex Complete with Zout up to $7.99! - Giveaway will end 4/30 at 11:59p.m. CST (Central Standard Time) - Open to residents in the Continental U.S. only.

Purex Complete Crystals fabric Softener Giveaway! - CLOSED

A few months back I wrote a review for Purex Complete Crystals fabric softener. They work Great! Your clothes will come out smelling really awesome, but a tab strong for my taste. I recommend using 1/4 of the Crystals to start with when using them in your washing machine to soften your clothes, and then using more if you feel that you need more of them to make your clothes softer. I also had a chance to use the Purex Fabric Softener with a load of Whites while using Bleach to whiten them. That wasn't such a good idea. The towels and clothes came out smelling like a wet dog, but worse. It took a few washings after that just to get the smell out of them.

Overall, I liked how soft my clothes were after using the Purex Complete Crystals, but I didn't like how strongly they smelled. I also recommend not using them with Bleach.

You can purchase Purex Complete Crystals at your local Grocery Store.

WIN IT! - CLOSED
Two of my readers will win (2) Two coupons each that are good for (1) One FREE 28 oz. bottle of Purex Complete Crystals Softener! So two of my readers will win (2) Two bottles of Purex Complete Crystals Fabric Softener, each! - Ends 4/30 at 11:59p.m. CST - Open to residents of the Continental U.S. only

Hold-On Handles Review and Giveaway! (U.S.) Ends 5/10

Hold-On Handles are the first stroller accessory and walking rope to help keep one to three children within arm's reach. They easily snap onto strollers and grocery carts. They are also very comfortable to wear to wear on your wrist with your child or children holding onto the Hold-On Handles. They help teach children to stay close to their parents without having to use a child leash and harness. Hold-On Handles are made with lead-free paint and non-toxic materials.

We have had a few chances to try out our Hold-On Handle while grocery shopping. Both of my three and a half year old and almost two year old enjoy holding onto it. It easily hooks onto most strollers and shopping carts. It even has a handle for me to hold onto one end, and have my child holding onto the other end for walks, or when we go somewhere and we don't bring the stroller. Using the Hold-On Handle with my children is helping them to learn to stay close to my husband and I when we are out and about. It's so nice to go places and to not worry so much about them wondering away.

I tried it out on that same day and my twenty month old daughter decided to give it a try. She wouldn't hold onto the handle because of my son putting it on his arm since he was carrying his shoes. So she had to copy him of course. When I put her down and gave her the handle though, my son grabbed the small handle at the top of the Hold-On Handle! So that was cool, and it worked to keep him close.

My husband and I are grateful and thankful for products like the Hold-On Handles. Our son was recently diagnosed with Sensory Integration Disorder and he might also have Autism. (We are currently on the waiting list to be called to make an appointment to get a diagnosis.) He doesn't always listen and it is extremely  important for him that he stay close to us when we are shopping, in parking lots, or outside.

BUY IT:
Purchase your Hold-On Handles at Greater Than One Kids.com! Single Handle Sets are $19.99. Double Handle sets are $27.99. Additional spare handles are $11.99 each.
