TOMY John Deere Toys Review and Giveaway! (U.S.) Ends 8/11 (Rafflecopter)

There isn't too much that I can say about the John Deere Whistle & Go Puppy and the John Deere First Animals Puzzles except that my 5 1/2 year old son, my 4 year old daughter, and my 1 year old daughter LOVE them! The whistle sometimes gets a little annoying if you have a headache, or if your tired. But the two toys have kept my children busy, that's for sure.

The John Deere Whistle & Go Puppy comes to life when you blow the John Deere whistle! Just blow the whistle once and the little puppy comes running forward. Blow the whistle twice, and the puppy goes backward. Blow the whistle with one long whistle, and the puppy will go around in circles! We found this out by playing with him! The puppy’s ears flop with endless excitement as he runs around! The John Deere Whistle & Go Puppy retails for around $19.99. It's recommended for children ages 2 and up! Though, when the puppy is turned off, and the whistle is put away, my 12 month old loves playing with it. It requires 2 AA batteries (not included).

The John Deere First Animals Puzzle comes with three-puzzles-in-one and has easy-turning colorful pieces, learning your first animals is more fun than ever! Perfectly sized for little hands to hold and carry! It’s the perfect toy for any car ride! It retails for around $7.99, and is recommended for ages 1+. My 12 month old daughter loves to carry this around the room to my husband or I and get us to help her turn the pieces to make a new picture.

Sibling Rivalry

My kids are getting bored now with being home and their toys, and this raining, gloomy, humid weather. It's either too hot or raining outside and too wet to go out and do anything like play on their swing set or to go hiking around all of ours and our neighbor's back yards that are connected together by five plus acres. My son is five and a half and on antibiotics, so he can't be out in the sun for too long. My daughter just turned four, and both kids love to push each others buttons.

It causes me anxiety to let them go at it. But sometimes, I have to. Chloe needs to learn to fight her own battles, and her brother. She needs to learn that if he hits her, that she needs to hit him back twice as hard before I stop the two of them. She needs to learn how to get away from him and out from under him, because I can't always be around every second of every day to intervene. This is what we get for having our children twenty two months apart in age. My younger sister and I were two years apart age wise growing up, and I learned to steer clear of her and leave her alone. Then my baby sister came about, and she was a booger. She was always hitting me and kicking me, and I always got in trouble for it, or so I felt I did. I guess the next few days, before school starts, this mama needs to come up with some structured indoor activities and games to keep them busy. That way they won't get bored and start fighting again.

CBS's "The Talk" Talks About Aging With "Love Your Age" - Themed Show with Prevention Magazine on July 23rd, 2013!

The hosts of CBS's "The Talk," gets real about Aging with a special "Love Your Age" themed show with Prevention Magazine, on Tuesday, July 23rd at 2:00p.m. EST (1:00p.m. PST) on the CBS Television Network.

During the show, the hosts, celebrity guests, and health expert Dr. Tasneem Bhatia, contributing editor for Prevention Magazine, will celebrate and embrace aging with helpful advice, tips, and life lessons. The hosts will open the show wearing t-shirts with their ages and encourage the in-studio audience to do the same. Actor Rob Lowe will be one of the guests!

The Prevention Magazine with the hosts of "The Talk" on the cover also hits newstands on July 23rd! The magazine will invite women to participate and change their Twitter and Facebook profile photos to images of your numerical age to show your pride and support, and to tweet questions, comments, and encouragement to others using the hashtag #LoveYourAge.
