Perdue Chicken Products Review and Coupon!

I recently received some coupons in the mail from Perdue! They make many different cooked and uncooked chicken products, including chicken nuggets, dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets, chicken strips, boneless chicken breasts, breasts and cutlets, ground burgers and sausage, whole chickens, cornish hens, and chicken strips. They also sell uncooked Turkeys and many other turkey products like turkey breasts and turkey sausage.

I tried out Perdue's Breaded Chicken Strips (26 oz. package). I really enjoyed them! I baked them in the oven following the directions on the back of the package and dipped some of them in honey bar-b-que sauce. They were so delicious and tender that my 17 month old daughter even liked them and kept coming back for more. She had already eaten her dinner, but I guess she was still hungry. (She only has her four front teeth, so she doesn't have the teeth yet to chew up hard meat, so these were perfect for her!)

Wordish Wednesday (12/29/10)

Chloe's M&M chocolate face, Christmas Day!

Her new stroller and baby doll from my parents! She loves them both so much! She even feeds her baby once a day, lol.

(I had no idea that these would be the perfect gifts for my 17 month old!)

(We went to our local Toys R Us store and they had this play house called the "Garden Villa Playhouse," It was $119 something, that's it! It's huge! It isn't made of the thick plastic like most of the other play houses out there either. It's made by Keter. It took two hours to put together, but it was easy, or so my husband says. It doesn't have a table inside or a mail slot or anything that makes noise, but who needs all that. Our 3 year old son also enjoys playing inside of this play house! I will be writing up a review soon.)

Gumdrop Cookies Recipe

My Mom used to make Gumdrop cookies a long time ago, and lost the recipe. A few years ago we went looking online, and we found it, or at least, a recipe close enough to it. This is the second time that I have made these, and each time, the dough turns out a little bit different. This time, it was more flat? I have no idea why, but they were good. I think that I might add more flour to them when I make more next week!

Ingredients:

• 3/4 cup gumdrop, cut small (I cut them into 3 pieces, I also use 1 cup of gumdrops, instead of 3/4)
• 1 cup all-purpose flour
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/3 cup soft butter
• 2/3 cup sugar
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 egg
• 2 tablespoons milk 

Directions:
1) Combine flour, baking powder, and salt.

2) Stir in gumdrops.

3) Set aside.

4) Combine butter and sugar.

5) Stir in egg.

6) Stir in vanilla.

7) Stir in milk.

8) Stir in dry ingredient mixture.

9) Drop by small spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.

10) Bake 10-12 minutes at 350F.

11) Remove from pan and cool on a rack.
