First Glimpse At Emily Blunt In Disney's "Mary Poppins Returns"

First glimpse of Golden Globe® winner Emily Blunt as Mary Poppins in MARY POPPINS RETURNS, the all new sequel to Disney’s 1964 film MARY POPPINS.

Directed and produced by Rob Marshall, MARY POPPINS RETURNS also stars Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ben Whishaw, Emily Mortimer and Julie Walters with Colin Firth and Meryl Streep.

The film, which introduces three new Banks children, played by Pixie Davies, Nathanael Saleh and newcomer Joel Dawson, also features Dick Van Dyke and Angela Lansbury. The film is set in 1930s depression-era London (the time period of the original novels) and is drawn from the wealth of material in PL Travers’ additional seven books. In the story, Michael (Whishaw) and Jane (Mortimer) are now grown up, with Michael, his three children and their housekeeper, Ellen (Walters), living on Cherry Tree Lane. After Michael suffers a personal loss, the enigmatic nanny Mary Poppins (Blunt) re-enters the lives of the Banks family, and, along with the optimistic street lamplighter Jack (Miranda), uses her unique magical skills to help the family rediscover the joy and wonder missing in their lives. Mary Poppins also introduces the children to a new assortment of colorful and whimsical characters, including her eccentric cousin, Topsy (Streep). The film is produced by Marshall, John DeLuca and Marc Platt. The screenplay is by David Magee based on The Mary Poppins Stories by PL Travers with Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman writing all new songs and Shaiman composing an original score.

Feeling nostalgic for one of television’s best-loved family comedies? The Tanner clan is back and they’re bringing laughter and good times to all Full House fans with the release of Fuller House: The Complete First Season, now available on DVD, from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment (WBHE). Twenty years have passed and the Tanner sisters are all grown-up. They’ve returned to their San Francisco home, where they’re joined by family and friends as they raise the next generation of Tanner kids. Fuller House: The Complete First Season is comprised of all 13 episodes from the show’s first season. On Fuller House, eldest daughter D.J. Tanner (Candace Cameron Bure, Full House, A Christmas Detour) is now a veterinarian and recently widowed mother trying to raise three boys on her own.  She is joined by her sister Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin, Full House, Walt Before Mickey) and best friend Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber, Full House, The Skateboard Kid 2) and Kimmy’s teenage daughter Ramona (Soni Bringas), who move in to lend their support and help raise D.J.’s kids.  The Full House original cast, including Bob Saget (Full House, Entourage), Lori Loughlin  (Full House, When Calls the Heart), John Stamos (Full House, Grandfathered, Scream Queens) and Dave Coulier (Full House, Robot Chicken), make guest appearances throughout the series.

The original Full House, which centered on three grown men raising three girls in San Francisco, premiered in 1987 on ABC and became an instant hit with viewers. The family friendly series became a pop culture phenomenon. It was praised by fans for its wholesome comedy, lovable characters and valuable life lessons. It aired for eight successful seasons and later aired in syndication.  Fuller House premiered on Netflix in February 2016 and has already been renewed for a second season.

Fuller House earned two Teen Choice Awards in 2016. The series won in the “Choice TV Show: Comedy” category. Candace Cameron Bure earned the “Choice TV Actress: Comedy” award.

My Review:
The first episode brought back most of the old characters and made a few jokes about the old episodes. A few things I wasn't fond of was Stephanie Tanner's cleavage, and the mention of wienie, twice! Kimmie is still going in and out of the Tanner home's doors without knocking. Uncle Jesse, his wife, Mr. Tanner and Joey leave to move to Los Angeles. The other episodes where similar. But entertaining to watch on Netflix or DVD!

I would recommend this show for children ages 16 and up. I wouldn't let my kids watch it to be honest. I don't feel that it's appropriate for them. There are some adult comments and jokes her and there that I don't feel they are ready to hear yet, but maybe someday.

Overall, the acting is great, funny and entertaining. I can't wait to see season 2!

DIY Your Own St. Patrick's Day Wish Basket! #Upcycle #ChickfilaMomsDIY

My family and I was challenged with creating something out of Chick-fil-A's soup containers. We got one large container and one small. There are so many things that you can create such as a bird feeder, travel first aid kit, wind chimes, snack containers for you and your children, and more! We decided on a few ideas, but came up with this one!

My family is part Irish, from both my side of the family and from my husband's side too. We love celebrating St. Patrick's Day! I decided to create a St. Patrick's Day Wish Basket. My children love this idea! For the 5 days leading up to St. Patrick's Day, starting on March 12th, my children will each get ONE Chocolate Coin out of the basket. They will make a wish, then eat their chocolate coin. On the 16th of March, they will eat their last coin and make their last wish. Then on St. Patrick's Day, March 17th, their little leprechaun inside their basket will have some treats waiting for them! Probably something like a new book, a few pieces of candy, something small, but you get the idea. I think it's a great, new family tradition!

Here are Step-By-Step Directions for creating your own St. Patrick's Day Wish Basket!

You will need some of the items below:
- One large empty soup container from Chick-fil-A (one small soup/fruit container too if you have a little one like mine who wanted to make her own)
- Chocolate Coins (15 or more, I bought 3 bags of 10 coins each)
- St. Patrick's Day Stickers
- Leprechaun Figurine
- Two Pipe cleaners of any color (optional)
- Some colored beads (optional)
- Scotch Tape (or something stronger to hold the pipe cleaners in the container)
- Shredded paper (white, green, yellow, or some other color - optional, but it sure makes it look neat!)

Directions:

1) Put stickers on the outside of the container

2) Add your handle or pipe cleaners to your basket

(I took two pipe cleaners, green and white, and twisted them a few times on one end, you can see more detail of this in the photo that I took with what you need to do this project. Then I placed one bead on the white pipe cleaner and twisted the green pipe cleaner around it gently twice, then placed another bead on the white pipe cleaner and twisted the green one again, repeat until you have about 3/4 an inch of pipe cleaners left. Then twist the rest of the pipe cleaners together without beads. Then tape them to the sides of the container.)

3) Put shredded paper and your Leprechaun into your basket

4) Gently add your chocolate coins into your basket. (I used only the big ones)

Your done!

My seven year old daughter liked my idea so much, that she wanted to create her own St. Patrick's Day basket! She used the smaller container, but she used the lid and she didn't make a handle for hers. She used all of the smaller chocolate coins that I had left over. Check it out below!

Han Solo - A New Star Wars Story Begins Production!!!

A NEW STAR WARS STORY BEGINS

The adventure-filled past of the iconic scoundrel and everyone’s favorite Wookiee is going before cameras this month when principal photography on the untitled Han Solo Star Wars Story officially began February 20th at Pinewood Studios, London.

The movie will explore the duo’s adventures before the events of Star Wars: A New Hope, including their early encounters with that other card-playing rogue from a galaxy far, far away, Lando Calrissian.

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are directors co-piloting the movie, with a cast that includes Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Thandie Newton, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge, with Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca.

“Watching such inspired people from all over the world, with such unique voices, come together for the sole purpose of making art, is nothing short of miraculous,” Lord and Miller said. “We can't think of anything funny to say, because we just feel really moved, and really lucky.”

Written by Lawrence and Jon Kasdan, it will be produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Allison Shearmur, Simon Emanuel and co-produced by Kiri Hart, Susan Towner and Will Allegra. Lawrence Kasdan and Jason McGatlin will executive produce.

Crewing the ship will be some of the industry’s top talent, including Academy Award nominee for his work on “Arrival,” Bradford Young (Director of Photography), Chris Dickens (Editor), Dominic Tuohy (SFX Supervisor), Rob Bredow (VFX Supervisor) and Brad Allan (Action Designer).

They will be joining returning Star Wars veteran crew members Neal Scanlan (Creature & Droid FX Creative Supervisor), Neil Lamont (Production Designer), Dave Crossman and Glyn Dillon (Co-Costume Designers), Jamie Wilkinson (Prop Master), Lisa Tomblin (Hair), Amanda Knight (Make-Up) and Nina Gold (UK Casting Director).
