Shopping deals I found at Rite Aid and Publix!
Rite-Aid has Pedialyte for $4.99 each, combine with a $1.50 off coupon and they were $3.49 each! I bought 2. They also have some character balls, they are $3.49 each! Matthew spotted a CARS one, so of course he just had to have it.

GREEN ways to get rid of Ants!
I read this article this morning in Ladies Home Journal and I thought it would be nice to share it, since for some reason, Ants love to come inside an invade our homes.
Things you might want to have on hand:
Caulk
Maple Syrup & Borax (not to be used around pets or children)
Cinnamon
Black Pepper
Vinegar
Cream of Wheat
Chalk
Caulk visible cracks around the kitchen counters and under the sink. Sprinkle Cream of Wheat, indigestible (and lethal) to ants, along the room's perimeter. (I don't know if this means inside the house, or what, but to me, that would be messy. I would rather sprinkle it inside my cupboards around the food and also maybe some outside where ants are visible!)
Ants don't like to cross Chalk, Cinnamon, and ground black pepper. Or spray full-strength Vinegar near doors and windowsills.
You could also mix borax, a naturally occurring mineral that's toxic to ants, with a little maple syrup (avoid this method if you have pets or kids).
There's a book with these GREEN tricks in them called "1001 All-Natural Secrets to a Pest-Free Property." I don't like ants. I have freaked out on a few occasions when they have been crawling on me. I think that I might try the cream of wheat in our dogs kennel, they seem to want to try to get into their water from Spring to Autumn.

Rear facing our children till they are 2 years old!!!
Here's an article that states that the AAP or American Academy of Pediatrics says that it's 5 times safer to keep our children rear facing till they are 2 years old!

Old friends...
I really enjoy getting in touch with old friends. There was one that I always thought about, worried about, and prayed for. Well, she's alive, but she's not the same. I hate knowing that bad things were happening to her when we were friends for 3 years in high school, till she moved away. I didn't know, and she didn't tell me, till now.
I am glad that she is safe and well, and has a beautiful family. We are reconnecting, but basically, rebuilding a new friendship. I just feel sad and awful about what happened in her life, so does my Mom. She even said that she wished that she would have let her live with us, then things might have been different and better for her. Heaven only knows. But we will never know because that didn't happen, and we can't go back in time.
I went to my 10 year high school reunion, and I was glad that I went. My 20 year is coming up in about 2 1/2 years. I want to try to fly back to CA to go, but we will see. Depends on what's going on with our family at that time.
I will try to find some photos and post them of my 10 year reunion, it was so much fun. It was almost like a high school dance, with alcohol, but with none of the dumb pressure of being a teenager, which made it nice.
