Alex & Me - Movie #Review & #Giveaway! (U.S.) Ends 6/29

Disclosure: Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the DVD I reviewed in this Blog Post. The opinions I share are my own.

Own Alex & Me on Digital Today and on DVD and Blu-ray 6/19!

Synopsis:
Teenager Reagan Willis has one dream – to play soccer like her hero, Alex Morgan. Her bedroom is a shrine to all things Alex, including a life-size poster of the Olympic gold medalist. Yet in the Willis house, Reagan lives in the shadow of her prep football superstar brother, Logan. When Reagan fails to make the cut of the premiere local soccer club team and is humiliated by her rival Claire, she’s certain her ship has sailed. But after accidentally hitting her head, Reagan’s poster of Alex Morgan suddenly comes to life and everything changes!

My Review:
My three children, girls ages five and eight, and my ten year old son loved it! They can't wait to watch it again! Warner Bros. kicked it out of the park with this movie! Way to go! This movie is perfect and entertaining for children ages 4 to 5 and up, depending on the child. I'd watch this one anytime my children want to watch it without regretting it, or the music! The music in the movie was awesome! I wonder if there's a CD soundtrack? We aren't big on watching or playing sports. But this was a great movie! Great for children, families and people of all ages!

Teaser Trailer & Poster for Time Burton’s all-new Live-Action DUMBO! #Dumbo

DUMBO opens in theatres everywhere on
March 29, 2019!

About the Movie:
From Disney and visionary director Tim Burton, the all-new grand live-action adventure DUMBO expands on the beloved classic story where differences are celebrated, family is cherished and dreams take flight. Circus owner Max Medici (Danny DeVito) enlists former star Holt Farrier (Colin Farrell) and his children Milly (Nico Parker) and Joe (Finley Hobbins) to care for a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him a laughingstock in an already struggling circus. But when they discover that Dumbo can fly, the circus makes an incredible comeback, attracting persuasive entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Michael Keaton), who recruits the peculiar pachyderm for his newest, larger-than-life entertainment venture, Dreamland. Dumbo soars to new heights alongside a charming and spectacular aerial artist, Colette Marchant (Eva Green), until Holt learns that beneath its shiny veneer, Dreamland is full of dark secrets.

Steps of Faith - Movie #Review & #Giveaway! (U.S.) Ends 6/20 #StepsOfFaithL3

Disclosure: I received a screener to view the movie "Steps of Faith" from LEV3L for my review post. No other compensation was exchanged or received.

Steps of Faith is NOW Available to purchase on Digital and DVD!
Synopsis:
Steps of Faith is a light-heart dramedy about Faith Houston an accountant, who is directed by God to move to a small town to work on a Hippotherapy farm helping children. Faith is mocked by her family since she doesn’t have a rapport with children or animals and is not a devout Christian. Faith decides to follow her heart and move after she encounters several challenges. She finds herself at the farm in the horse stalls shoveling manure. Faith cracks under pressure and leaves after a child is almost injured questioning whether she heard God’s voice or not.

My Review:
You will recognize some familiar faces in "Steps of Faith" including Irma P. Hall, Charles Malik Whitfield, Ted Lange, Tracey Ross, Gail Cronauer, and Chrystee Pharris. The acting in this movie is great. My three children and I tried to watch this together. They walked out and got bored. It's more a movie for adults then for families. I love horses, so that's what drew me to wanting to see it, along with following what God told Faith what she should do. Sometimes God's plans aren't always what we want. But God sometimes talks to people and gives us visions about what we need to do and where we need to go.

Stuff Every Dad Should Know - Book #Review! #FathersDay #GiftsForDads #BabyShowerGifts

Stuff Every Dad Should Know by Brett Cohen on your radar. This book is full of indispensable wisdom that all hands-on fathers need including:
  • How to Rid a Room of Monsters
  • How to Change a Diaper
  • How to Potty Train Your Child
  • The Birds and the Bees (3 parts for little ones, bigger kids, and teens)
  • Tips and Tricks for Managing Sibling Relations
  • How to Teach Your Child to Drive
  • How to Select a College

My Review:
The book is divided into Baby Stuff, Little Kid Stuff, and Teen Stuff and Beyond. Every thing to do, such as How to Change a Diaper, takes up 2-4 pages of super useful information. This book is great for both Moms and Dads alike, single parents, or grandparents raising their grandchildren. This book would be a GREAT gift for first time Dads, or even, First time Moms! I found the Little Kid Stuff super helpful. As my three children are almost six, eight, and ten. "Stuff Every Dad Should Know" is not a joke book. It has actual, real information about how to do things! It's also super helpful for us moms too!

Above all, I say, do everything with love, patience and Grace, a whole lot of grace! Your children need you, your time, and your love above anything else.

Blending humor, practicality, and wholesome family values, Stuff Every Dad Should Know (Quirk Books; $9.95) is a must-have pocket reference for any dad or dad-to-be and a slam-dunk Father's Day gift.

Disclosure: I received one copy of "Stuff Every Dad Should Know" from Quirk books in exchange for my post. No other compensation was exchanged or received.
