My Review and Thoughts:

We love all of the Indiana Jones movies! This last one was for sure, the final one with Harrison Ford. The ending is really cool! If you like the previous Indiana Jones movies, you'll like this one too! My fifteen year old son and eleven year old daughter wanted to watch the previous five Indiana Jones movies now! Also unveiled today is the Guion The Lion Official Lyric Video. The release of this song and video follows the successful launch earlier this summer of the children’s book Guion The Lion, which was written by entrepreneur and author Rebecca Wilson Macsovits. 

“This new song, together with the Guion The Lion lyric video are both a superb complement to ourcolorful and compelling story that has been so well received by parents and kids,” says Macsovits, whose personal mission is to find meaningful ways to celebrate the differences in all children, allowing for a greater level of appreciation of these differences and encouraging acceptance. 

The song was a family affair as it was composed by Elwood Ervin, Macsovits’ cousin and in collaboration with his writing partner Betsy Walter. The singer of the song is Eliot Morris, also Macsovits’ cousin, and Wilson Young, her niece, who is the inspiration for the Giraffe character in the book.

Macsovits has also garnered the support of world-renowned music and entertainment personality Les Garland to drive distribution across a myriad of platforms and spread the song worldwide. Les, known as ‘Garland,’ has more than four decades of experience and was an executive or co-founder with major networks including MTV and VH1. He has also worked with bold face name artists for most of his career spanning the alphabet from Aretha to ZZ Top.  

“I’m ecstatic to collaborate with Rebecca and her team to release the Guion The Lion song and lyric video to millions of people,” Garland notes. “The song is a catchy sing-along for audiences of all ages and just like the book, it evokes a message of togetherness and kindness, which the world needs so much right now,” he adds.  

The Denver-based author wrote Guion The Lion to inspire and create conversations about the beauty and significance of being different. My Review and Thoughts:

Cute story. Guion the Lion uses his imagination daily to see dragons, dinosaurs, a mermaid, a carnival at sunset, and more! His friend Rae however, can't see the same things that Guion does at first. Then Rae turns her head like Guion, and begins to see the same things as her friend.

The back of the book includes talking points for parents and teachers. There's also some activities included in the back for families too!

My Review:
My three children were ages five and eight (girls), and my son was ten years old when this movie came out, they all loved it! They can't wait to watch it again! Warner Bros. kicked it out of the park with this movie! Way to go! This movie is perfect and entertaining for children ages 4 to 5 and up, depending on the child. I'd watch this one anytime my children want to watch it without regretting it, or the music! The music in the movie was awesome! I wonder if there's a CD soundtrack? We aren't big on watching or playing sports. But this was a great movie! Great for children, families and people of all ages!

My Thoughts:
My ten year old daughter read this book and really liked it. She enjoys graphic books and novels and reads through them quickly. She enjoys reading about her favorite super heroes lives before they became super heroes and when they were younger. Graphic novels like these help younger readers to understand their favorite super heroes more in depth. I felt that it was a cute, enjoyable book. I just wish that there were AR tests for them in our schools for our children who can't read lengthy chapter books all the time.

The Hales are veterans in the children’s publishing space and are the co-authors behind acclaimed and fan-favorite novels and graphic novels including the Princess in Black series, Rapunzel’s Revenge, and The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl, among others. Both are longtime fans of Wonder Woman, and this book marks their first project with the character and first work with DC.

“I was so excited to write about young Wonder Woman,” said Shannon Hale. “I always wondered what it would feel like for young Diana to grow up as the only child in her world. How extraordinary—but also potentially lonely. We started from there and got to explore who Wonder Woman was as a child, and challenge her with an adventure that would help shape who she would become.”

“Wonder Woman has always been one of my favorite superheroes, but Diana has been one of my favorite heroes, full stop, super or not,” added Dean Hale. “To have the opportunity to tell a story in her formative years, to provide one of the many story ‘ingredients’ that combine to make her the hero she becomes, was an incredible honor.”

Diana: Princess of the Amazons also marks Ying’s first work with DC and her very first graphic novel. Ying comes to DC from an animation background, having worked on such hit Disney films as Tangled, Frozen, and Wreck-It Ralph, among others. Ying has also written and illustrated several children’s picture books and was thrilled to work on this original story starring Wonder Woman.

“It was a real treat to explore Diana as a child,” said Ying. “I had a blast drawing her and felt like I got to be her friend too.”

Leading into its January on-sale date, Diana: Princess of the Amazons has already received critical acclaim from such outlets as Publishers Weekly, Kirkus Reviews, and School Library Journal, among others. The book was also selected by IndieBound’s prestigious Kids Next list for winter and is one of DC’s most anticipated releases of 2020.

My Review:
These candles have wood wicks and they smell AMAZING! I got to burn one for a few hours on a cooler day here in southern California. I can't wait to burn it some more when we move to a state where it's cooler in the winter. These candles also come with Candle Care instructions and a thank you note from the site's owner! I loved the smell of my parent's living room during and after I burned the Gathering Candle (Orange & Clove). The room smelled really good afterwards, and the scents seem to linger in the room for a little while.

This book was good, full of adventure. I liked Dinah and her best friends. They sort of remind me of me and my best friends. I like that she plays in a band with her friends.

I, Heather, looked through this book, it looked good and appropriate for girls ages 10 and up. As you can read above, my daughter Chloe liked it! She's been helping me lately to review books. I like hearing her thoughts about them. Christmas is coming up soon! Any girl ages 10-14 would like this book!

My Review:
"A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish" is sort of a musical, it has some new Christmas songs in it! I really liked it. It is geared more towards girls ages 12 and under, for sure. My seven year old daughter loved it, of course! I bet she'll make us watch it a few more times before Christmas! I love Kat's voice (played by Laura Marano)! She's also a great actress. This movie stayed true to the first The Cinderella Story movie! I'm really glad that it wasn't cheesy like the last two! This movie will totally get you in the Christmas spirit! Synopsis:
