A Few Annoying Things about Giveaway Posts...

Lately, when searching for Low Entry Giveaways, I have found bloggers not posting the country or countries of people who can enter their giveaways. I am also finding No Giveaway End Dates, and Giveaways stating that the winners will be chosen on such and such a date, and listing their giveaways on Giveaway Linkys that the day they choose the winner is the date that the giveaway ends.

I feel that the Date that bloggers should be listing is the actual date that the giveaway ends, not the date that they are going to choose the winner(s), but the date that they giveaway ends.

Please don't state that you will be choosing a winner on 5/13, and then post that giveaway on a giveaway linky and state that the giveaway ends on 5/13, when the giveaway end date is actually on 5/12.

It's also not too hard to ask your review and giveaway sponsors which country or countries that they are willing to mail the prize to. They will appreciate it in the long run AND your giveaway entries/comments will actually go up. I know many people, including myself, that won't enter a giveaway if the post doesn't state that it's for U.S. only, U.S. and Canada, or Worldwide.

I am sorry for the rant, but it makes it really hard to post other people's giveaways when they aren't stating this information. Thank you.

  1. Totally agree! I don't have much time to enter giveaways anymore, but I skip ones that don't have end dates/eligible people. It's frustrating when I see blogs that don't run giveaways very well (in my opinion) getting better opportunities than me, you know?

Thank you for all the hard work you do putting the low-entries together!

  2. Two more things:
Please say whether you'll be contacting the winner or if they'll have to check back. I enter quite a few giveaways and am not going to remember to check back. It's a waste of my rime to enter and you're going to have to draw a new winner. It takes less than 30 seconds to send out an email to a winner.

Please don't say "low entry" when you've just posted the giveaway and there are three or four weeks left until it ends. Of course it's low entry - no one has had a chance to enter!!!

OK, now that I've gotten that off my chest... :D

  3. Stateing who is eligible is my biggest beef that bloggers don't do. I am not surprised when I see them in low entry giveaways.

  4. I agree but I also have two more other things to add.

    1. Please add what time your giveaway ends

    2. also what time zone. if you say midnight does that mean pst, cst, or mst
