STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Becomes Highest Grossing Domestic Film of All-Time!!! #StarWars #TheForceAwakens

Two days ago, with early box office results in, STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS became the highest grossing film of all time in the domestic market, surpassing the $760.5M lifetime gross of Avatar in a record-shattering 20 days of release. In addition, the film crossed the $800M mark at the international box office.

Through Jan. 5, the film had grossed $758.2M domestically and $799.1M for a global total of $1,557.3M since its Dec. 16 global debut.

STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS debuted in the US and Canada on Dec. 18, its first two weeks pushing the domestic annual industry box office to an all-time high of $11B. It has set numerous individual records including:

·        Fastest film to reach $100M (21 hours), $200M (3 days), $300M (5 days), $400M (8 days), $500M (10 days), $600M (12 days), and $700M (16 days)
·        Biggest all-time debut and biggest December debut ($247.966M), propelling the industry to the biggest overall moviegoing weekend of all time ($313.3M for all films, Dec. 18-20)
·        Biggest second weekend of all time ($149.2M), propelling the industry to the biggest overall Christmas weekend of all time ($296.4M for all films, Dec. 25-27)
·        Biggest third weekend of all time ($90.2M)
·        Biggest Thursday preview gross ($57M)
·        Biggest Friday, opening, and single day ($119.1M)
·        Biggest Sunday ($60.55M), Monday ($40.1M), and Tuesday ($37.3M)
·        Biggest Christmas Day ($49.3M) and New Year’s Day ($34.39M)
·        Highest per-theater average for a wide debut ($59,982)
·        Biggest opening week ($390.85M)
·        Biggest IMAX debut ($30.1M)

Globally, the film posted the highest global opening weekend of all time ($528.967M) and surpassed $1B in a record 12 days. It also had the biggest global IMAX debut ($48M) and surpassed $152M in IMAX in a record 19 days. It was the highest international debut in December history with $281M, and it remains #1 in many territories after posting the biggest opening weekend in at least 18 major markets.

Named one of AFI’s top 10 films of 2015, STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS now heads into its fourth weekend of global release ahead of a debut in its final international market, China, on Jan. 9.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens - Movie Review! #StarWars #TheForceAwakens #BB8

Don't read this if you don't want to know anything about the movie before you see it! You've been warned!

Ever wondered what it's like to live inside an At At? Fly a TIE Fighter? Or Have a light saber fight with Kylo Ren? Well, The Force Awakens does not disappoint! It's non-stop action from beginning to end. It also of course, leaves it open for another Star Wars movie!

Rey, Finn, Poe and of course BB-8 steal the show! Rey is a girl living on Jaccu and her parents were taken from her when she was a young girl. So she continues to live there, waiting for her parents to return, but they don't. Finn is amazing! That's all I will say about him! And Princess Leia, Han Solo and Luke Skywalker? Well, you will just have to watch the movie to find out! Also, Kylo Ren! You will need to watch the movie to find out who he is also! Until then, Go See Star Wars: The Force Awakens! You will not be disappointed! I saw it normally without the 3D effects, and it was amazing! I can only imagine what the 3D effects might be in this movie! It would probably make it even more awesome!

I don't completely understand why it's PG-13, there are a few monsters in the beginning that might scare kids who get scared easily, but other than that, it was great! No bad language, nudity, nothing bad, not violent. It's no worse then letting your kids see the first Star Wars movie! So take your kids, and enjoy the show!

Toy unboxing phenomenon goes live globally for the first time ahead of ‘Force Friday’

Online event featuring talent from the Maker Studios network gives fans first look at film-inspired toys ahead of midnight madness at retail

Star Wars: The Force Awakens products are set to be unveiled in the world’s first-ever global live toy unboxing event. Unfolding over 18 hours in 15 cities and 12 countries, the event will see highlights from the range of epic merchandise revealed in a rolling New Year’s Eve style celebration featuring top digital stars from the Maker Studios network.

“Star Wars toys have always played an important role in how our fans interact with the Saga,” says Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy. “They’ve inspired multiple generations to relive the experience of the movies and to create new adventures all their own. These spectacular Star Wars: The Force Awakens products will continue that tradition.”

Kicking off in Sydney, Australia on the morning of September 3, and continuing through Asia, Europe, Canada, and North & South America, selections from the new toy line will debut to global fanfare leading up to retailers around the globe opening their doors at midnight.

“Over the course of 18 hours, some of Maker Studios’ biggest stars will each be unboxing a new toy from the Star Wars: The Force Awakens product line in a different city around the world and sharing the experience live on YouTube.” said Leslie Ferraro, President, Disney Consumer Products. “We’ve seen tremendous excitement for these new products and can’t wait to see the global reaction from the Star Wars fan community.”

The Star Wars YouTube channel will host the live stream, which kicks off with the first unboxing in Sydney, Australia at 7:45 a.m. local time on Thursday, Sept. 3 (5:45 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, Sept. 2), with the grand finale at Lucasfilm in San Francisco at 8 a.m. PDT (11 a.m. EDT) on Thursday, Sept. 3. Each of the 15 locations will reveal a new product inspired by Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

These “unboxing” videos will feature online personalities sharing the excitement of opening the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens toys. Unboxing videos overall have captivated millions of Internet viewers and continue to grow in popularity. Eighteen of the top 100 most viewed YouTube Channels worldwide are dedicated to toys and toy unboxings. These 18 channels accounted for 8.1 billion views in Q1 2015.[1]

Fans at San Diego Comic-Con’s Hall H were treated to a special look behind the scenes of STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS byDirector J.J. The filmmakers were joined on stage by cast members Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford to the surprise and delight of fans.

At the end of the Hall H presentation, the entire Hall H audience of more than 6,000 fans were all invited to continue the celebration and join cast and filmmakers at a surprise Star Wars Fan Concert.
