DC: "Merry Little Batman" Animated Christmas Special on Digital 11/15!

The Animated DC Super Hero family film will be available for purchase on Digital on November 15 and rental on November 26!

Merry Little Batman, the animated family action-adventure film featuring Bruce Wayne/Batman and his son Damian, will be available to purchase on Digital on November 15 and to rent on November 26.

Produced by Warner Bros. Animation and DC, the action-packed DC animated family film is directed by Mike Roth from a screenplay by Morgan Evans & Jase Ricci and a story by Evans & Roth, based on the characters created by DC.  The film is produced by Rebecca Palatnik. Sam Register and Mike Roth serve as executive producers.

Merry Little Batman features the voices of Luke Wilson as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Yonas Kibreab as Damian Wayne/Little Batman, James Cromwell as Alfred Pennyworth, David Hornsby as The Joker, Dolph Adomian as Mr. Freeze, Brian George as The Penguin, Therese McLaughlin as Poison Ivy, Cynthia Kaye McWilliams as Vicki Vale, Reid Scott as Commissioner Gordon, and Chris Sullivan as Bane.

Merry Little Batman premiered on Amazon Prime Video in 2023. Additionally, Bat-Family, an animated series based on the film and produced by Warner Bros. Animation and DC, will be coming soon to Amazon Prime Video.

Merry Little Batman was nominated for 2 Annie Awards in 2024 – Best Character Design-Feature, Nikolas Ilić, and Best Voice Acting-Feature, David Hornsby as The Joker.

Merry Little Batman will be available on November 15 to purchase digitally from Amazon Prime Video, AppleTV, Google Play, Fandango at Home and more. On November 26 the film will be available to rent on digital platforms.

This is one of the BEST movies I have seen in a long time! As women, even today, we are often overlooked with our ideas. Things have gotten better. There are more women ran businesses today then ever before! But in some companies, women still don't earn the same amount of money as men do for the same position.

Gloria Steinem stood up for women's rights. She wrote articles for many newspapers and magazines. But many times, her articles went unpublished because she was a woman. 

Along with Diane Schulder (author of a book titled "Abortion Rap") and others, she helped create "Ms. Magazine." The first ever women's magazine written and owned by women, for women. If it wasn't for women like Gloria Steinem, nothing I write on my blog, my stories, or poems, would be meaningless to others, because it would have been published, with a man's name.

About half way through the movie, Bette Midler makes an appearance as Bella Abzug. She served in Congress for three terms from 1971 to 1977. Abzug’s political flair and unwavering determination helped inspire an entire generation of women and created a new model for future Congresswomen. Even today, most of our state reps, house reps, and members of congress, are white men.

This movie, The Glorias, shows how at times, Gloria Steinem felt like a scared little girl. The movie looks back on her childhood, teen and young adult years. Gloria is spoke at at least two Catholic churches in real life, but one in the movie. Here's what I found online as to what she said: (found this here published in November 1978)

"In two 20-minute addresses, Steinem had said, "Until women control our lives from the skin in, we cannot control our lives from the skin out." "Women have never been able to see the god in themselves," she said. "We have been made to doubt our own strength and wisdom." 

"We will defend always," she said, the right of every woman and man to reproductive freedom. That is as important as freedom of speech or freedom of assembly - at least as important. Without that, there is no freedom of choice. . . ."

Gloria Steinem became a speaker on women's rights and issues because she listens. She hears us! Our fears, our hopes, our dreams, and more.

Every teenaged girl and every woman needs to see this movie. As we speak, women's rights are being taken away again. Many U.S. states are once again, trying to ban abortion: Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Missouri, Texas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and a majority of the Eastern United States.

Gloria Steinem, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and many other women have helped fight for us to have these rights, and in half of the U.S. States, women are just letting these rights fade away, again. Abortion sucks! BUT it's our choice!

It was an honor to have seen this movie. Gloria Steinem's life is full of American History, Cherokee History, Asian Women's history, along with how life was and still is, in parts of India, and more. (I spent four months living in India back in 2006. In 2006, they still needed their husband's "permission" to wear pants or jeans.")

I hope that you go see this movie. Then I hope that you share about it with your family, daughters, sisters, aunts, nieces, grandmothers, female friends, and more. I hope that it inspires you to be yourself and to let yourself shine and to not be afraid of what the men around you in the workplace think about you. Who cares what they think? Some men are encouragers, while some men today will day and do anything to keep us from being who we are meant to be. Check out the trailer below.

"H is for Happiness" - Movie, Available Today On Demand, possibly in theaters too!

My Review and Thoughts:

I really enjoyed watching "H is for Happiness." It made me realize that family is important, no matter how big or small. And even though we might be sad for a while over the death of a family member, life goes on, and we need to live it! Candice is a beautiful, sweet, kind hearted girl whose very smart. She meets a boy in her class who helps her dad to create a new computer program idea! Candice and her friend also become friends with a stray pony they find in the forest. This movie is super adorable. It's not all sunshine and roses though. I recommend it for families with children ages ten and up, as younger children might not understand some of the movie's adult content. There's also a gentleman who owns a costume shop who dresses up as a woman. But during the movie, your children aren't going to think anything of it if you don't make it a big deal. Most children don't notice things like that, unless you point it out to them and make it awkward! Check out the trailer below.

Children love laughing about body noises. In Grandpa’s Noises, a range of sounds and words coming from body and mouth are explained in a warm and funny intergenerational romp. For example, ‘Eyenolessgofurawark’ is obviously Grandpa-speak for ‘I know, let’s go for a walk’. But some sounds — like the ‘Fffffffft’ that sometimes escapes Grandpa’s bottom — need no explanation!

My Review:
Very cute book! Especially for 2-6 year olds, up to Kindergarten. Grandpas can make a lot of noise, and for little children, they can be quite curious about them. The older we get, the more our bodies snap, crackle, and pop!

Toy unboxing phenomenon goes live globally for the first time ahead of ‘Force Friday’

Online event featuring talent from the Maker Studios network gives fans first look at film-inspired toys ahead of midnight madness at retail

Star Wars: The Force Awakens products are set to be unveiled in the world’s first-ever global live toy unboxing event. Unfolding over 18 hours in 15 cities and 12 countries, the event will see highlights from the range of epic merchandise revealed in a rolling New Year’s Eve style celebration featuring top digital stars from the Maker Studios network.

“Star Wars toys have always played an important role in how our fans interact with the Saga,” says Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy. “They’ve inspired multiple generations to relive the experience of the movies and to create new adventures all their own. These spectacular Star Wars: The Force Awakens products will continue that tradition.”

Kicking off in Sydney, Australia on the morning of September 3, and continuing through Asia, Europe, Canada, and North & South America, selections from the new toy line will debut to global fanfare leading up to retailers around the globe opening their doors at midnight.

“Over the course of 18 hours, some of Maker Studios’ biggest stars will each be unboxing a new toy from the Star Wars: The Force Awakens product line in a different city around the world and sharing the experience live on YouTube.” said Leslie Ferraro, President, Disney Consumer Products. “We’ve seen tremendous excitement for these new products and can’t wait to see the global reaction from the Star Wars fan community.”

The Star Wars YouTube channel will host the live stream, which kicks off with the first unboxing in Sydney, Australia at 7:45 a.m. local time on Thursday, Sept. 3 (5:45 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, Sept. 2), with the grand finale at Lucasfilm in San Francisco at 8 a.m. PDT (11 a.m. EDT) on Thursday, Sept. 3. Each of the 15 locations will reveal a new product inspired by Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

These “unboxing” videos will feature online personalities sharing the excitement of opening the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens toys. Unboxing videos overall have captivated millions of Internet viewers and continue to grow in popularity. Eighteen of the top 100 most viewed YouTube Channels worldwide are dedicated to toys and toy unboxings. These 18 channels accounted for 8.1 billion views in Q1 2015.[1]

This shared fandom helps attract billions of monthly views and consistently puts the genre at the top of the YouTube charts.”

The global unboxing event will incorporate traditional toy unboxers such as the popular EvanTubeHD, channels featuring families such as Bratayley, lifehack specialists such as ExpCaseros, gamers such as AlexBy11 and Star Wars fans from around the world, including Chris Pirillo, bringing with them a broad audience and appeal. Several countries will join the live stream from YouTube Spaces (Berlin, Tokyo, London), with Star Wars commentators Anthony Carboni and Andi Gutierrez hosting the event from the YouTube Space, Los Angeles.

Fans can tune in to watch live unboxings at home or on mobile devices, and also enjoy the latest trailers on the upcoming movie, commentary from special guests, fun product videos and demos, and footage from recent Star Wars events.

The global celebration culminates at midnight local time, when many retailers around the world will open their doors to fans to purchase Star Wars: The Force Awakens toys, collectibles, books, apparel and more.
