Disney Pixar's "Elemental" Arrives on Digital TODAY and Blu-ray 9/26! #Giveaway #Elemental

Opposites React When Disney and Pixar’s

ELEMENTAL

Welcome to Element City, where the fiery Ember Lumen and the go-with-the-flow Wade Ripple are about to discover what happens when fire meets water in Pixar Animation Studios’ dazzling and imaginative Elemental, which debuts on all major digital platforms (Apple TV, Prime Video, Vudu, etc.) August 15 and on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD September 26.

Described as “stunning” (Joey Magidson, Awards Radar), “beautiful and immersive” (Belen Edwards, Mashable), Elemental is and Certified-Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes™ with “Pixar’s signature blend of vibrant revolutionary animation and imagination” (Luke Harfield, Awards Watch). Fans can be the first to watch at home by adding the film to their Pixar movie collection, and access bonus content including exclusive deleted scenes, featurettes, an audio commentary, and the widely popular all-new short, “Carl’s Date.”

My Review:

My three children and I saw "Elemental" in the movie theater a few weeks ago. We all really enjoyed it. My children are now fifteen, fourteen, and eleven! They still enjoy going to Disney movies and so do I! Elemental was one of the most adorable love stories that I've seen from them in a long time. It's a cute movie with to me, no subliminal messages.

Even if there was suspected to be some racial things in it, I sure as heck didn't notice them! I read in another article online, that "This movie offers a solid foundation to delve into topics of xenophobia, accessibility, and inclusion." I never saw them. As this movie is about an immigrant family moving to a town that wasn't so friendly to them in the beginning. But eventually, they opened up a shop and other Fire elements move into the community around them. The kids don't even realize that hearing "elements don't mix," is an issue for adults. As the issue becomes a non-issue at the end of the movie. So it's a Good thing!

Film Synopsis:

"The Proud Family" Cast and Creative Team Reunion, Keke Palmer to Join the Upcoming Disney+ Series!

“THE PROUD FAMILY” CAST AND CREATIVE
TEAM REUNITED FOR

NAACP'S ARTS, CULTURE & ENTERTAINMENT FESTIVAL

Keke Palmer to Join Cast of Upcoming Disney+ Original Series

“The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder”

Today, the cast and executive producers of the groundbreaking animated series “The Proud Family” participated in a virtual reunion during the NAACP’s Arts, Culture & Entertainment Festival. Moderated by Keke Palmer, who announced that she will be joining the cast of Disney+’s upcoming series “The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder," the panel featured Kyla Pratt (Penny Proud), Tommy Davidson (Oscar Proud), Paula Jai Parker (Trudy Proud), Jo Marie Payton (Suga Mama) and Cedric the Entertainer (Uncle Bobby), creator/executive producer Bruce W. Smith and executive producer Ralph Farquhar. Their conversation included reminiscing about the cultural impact of the Disney Channel series which premiered 18 years ago, and a glimpse of the exciting new series coming exclusively to Disney+.

VIEW “THE PROUD FAMILY” REUNION: https://youtu.be/5CMivkTxuq4

VIEW REUNION MINUTE-LONG TEASE:

Palmer will play the role of Maya Leibowitz-Jenkins, a 14-year-old activist who relentlessly marches to the beat of her own drum. She is extremely mature for her age and will not hesitate to shut anyone down with her blunt honesty and wisdom.  The adopted daughter of mixed race parents, Maya is new to town, and initially disassociates herself from Penny and her crew because she is skeptical about what she perceives to be the superficiality of social cliques. However, Penny eventually gains her hard-earned respect and the two become good friends.

Picking up the story of its central character Penny Proud, “The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder” will also include her madcap family: parents Oscar and Trudy, twin siblings BeBe and CeCe, and her grandmother Suga Mama (and Puff!). Of course, it would not be "The Proud Family" without Penny's loyal crew Dijonay Jones, LaCienega Boulevardez and Zoey Howzer, among others.

All seasons of “The Proud Family” are currently available on Disney+. “The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder” is currently in production.

"Doc McStuffins: The Exhibit" Now Open At The Children's Museum of Indianapolis! @DisneyChannelPR #DocMcStuffins

'DOC MCSTUFFINS: THE EXHIBIT' OPENS AT
THE WORLD'S LARGEST CHILDREN'S MUSEUM

First-Ever Museum Exhibit Based on Peabody Award-Winning Series

Disney Junior is bringing its popular "Doc McStuffins" storytelling to communities in a first-ever touring museum exhibit based on the Peabody Award-winning television series. "Doc McStuffins: The Exhibit" is now open at The Children's Museum of Indianapolis, and will travel to other museums around the country in 2017. The exhibit is designed to model "care and compassion" for kids age 2-7 in immersive activities that reinforce the importance of health and well-being.

Nancy Kanter, executive vice president and general manager, Disney Junior, said, "Doc McStuffins has already made a tremendous impact on how children see themselves and their possibilities by way of our popular TV series." She continued, "We are delighted to now bring the show's messages of care and compassion directly into communities across the country and we know we are in excellent hands with The Children's Museum of Indianapolis. We look forward to having young visitors experience Doc's playhouse clinic and toy hospital and learn firsthand about caring for themselves and for others."

The bilingual (English/Spanish) interactive exhibit will transport kids and families into Doc's iconic backyard clinic and the McStuffins Toy Hospital. There, young visitors go on a "feel better adventure" as they become "doctors in training," don a white coat and toy stethoscope, "scrub in" (learning the importance of washing hands to avoid germs), report to an "operating room" where they can fix seams on a toy bear, assist in an "operation" on a toy dragon robot, and use Doc's tools including a toy otoscope, stethoscope, thermometer and blood pressure cuff to give a checkup to their own toys.

The exhibit is sponsored by Riley Children's Health at Indiana University Health, home to one of the nation's leading children's hospitals. The exhibit provides an opportunity for children to become comfortable in a healthcare setting.

"It is a heavy order to convince children that going to see the doctor is not scary," said Dr. Paul Haut, chief medical officer of Riley Children's Health. "But it can be done through educational and interactive experiences, which help them understand that what we do is help keep people healthy. By teaching visitors about healthy habits, such as practicing good hand hygiene, exercising regularly and eating well, we hope this exhibit will put children's minds at ease, while supporting our mission to keep all Hoosier children healthy."

"Doc McStuffins serves as a great role model to children and adults, encouraging them to explore the importance of taking care of their own bodies as well as caring for others," said Dr. Jeffrey H. Patchen, president and CEO, The Children's Museum of Indianapolis. "Through imaginative play, we hope our visitors will learn more about health, science, and medicine, and discover that children can be anything they want to be when they grow up."

NEW Disney's "The BFG" Movie Trailer! #TheBFG #Disney

Check out the latest trailer for THE BFG, which includes new, never-before-seen footage of the BFG (Big Friendly Giant). The film, which is directed by Steven Spielberg and based on the best-selling book by Roald Dahl, hits theaters everywhere on July 1st!

Also make sure you check out Steven Spielberg’s Facebook Live tour of Amblin Entertainment here: https://www.facebook.com/WaltDisneyStudios/videos/vb.111382562236411/1096376120403712/?type=2&theater

Cast: Mark Rylance, Ruby Barnhill, Penelope Wilton, Jemaine Clement, Rebecca Hall, Rafe Spall, Bill Hader
Director: Steven Spielberg
Screenplay by: Melissa Mathison
Based upon the Book by: Roald Dahl
Producers: Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall, Sam Mercer
Executive Producers: Kathleen Kennedy, John Madden, Kristie Macosko Krieger, Michael Siegel, Frank Smith, Naia Cucukov

The talents of three of the world’s greatest storytellers – Roald Dahl, Walt Disney and Steven Spielberg – finally unite to bring Dahl’s beloved classic “The BFG” to life. Directed by Spielberg, Disney’s “The BFG” tells the imaginative story of a young girl and the Giant who introduces her to the wonders and perils of Giant Country. “I think it was kind of genius of Roald Dahl to be able to empower the children. It was very, very brave of him to introduce that combination of darkness and light which was so much Disney’s original signature in a lot of their earlier works like in ‘Dumbo,’ ‘Fantasia,’ ‘Snow White’ and ‘Cinderella,’ and being able to do scary, but also be redemptive at the same time and teach a lesson, an enduring lesson, to everyone, it was a wonderful thing for Dahl to have done, and it was one of the things that attracted me to want to direct this Dahl book,” says Spielberg.

The BFG (Mark Rylance), while a giant himself, is a Big Friendly Giant and nothing like the other inhabitants of Giant Country. Standing 24-feet tall with enormous ears and a keen sense of smell, he is endearingly dim-witted and keeps to himself for the most part. Giants like Bloodbottler (Bill Hader) and Fleshlumpeater (Jemaine Clement) on the other hand, are twice as big and at least twice as scary and have been known to eat humans, while the BFG prefers Snozzcumber and Frobscottle. Upon her arrival in Giant Country, Sophie, a precocious 10-year-old girl from London, is initially frightened of the mysterious giant who has brought her to his cave, but soon comes to realize that the BFG is actually quite gentle and charming, and, having never met a giant before, has many questions. The BFG brings Sophie to Dream Country where he collects dreams and sends them to children, teaching her all about the magic and mystery of dreams.

Having both been on their own in the world up until now, their affection for one another quickly grows. But Sophie’s presence in Giant Country has attracted the unwanted attention of the other giants, who have become increasingly more bothersome. Says Spielberg, “It’s a story about friendship, it’s a story about loyalty and protecting your friends and it’s a story that shows that even a little girl can help a big giant solve his biggest problems.” Sophie and the BFG soon depart for London to see the Queen (Penelope Wilton) and warn her of the precarious giant situation, but they must first convince the Queen and her maid, Mary (Rebecca Hall), that giants do indeed exist. Together, they come up with a plan to get rid of the giants once and for all.

Roald Dahl’s “The BFG” (Big Friendly Giant) was first published in 1982 and has been enchanting readers of all ages ever since. To date, the book has been published in 41 languages. Dahl’s books, which also include “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” “James and the Giant Peach” and “Matilda,” have sold over 200 million copies worldwide. Originally created as a bedtime story, “The BFG” was Dahl’s own favorite of all his stories. “It was very important for us to be loyal to the language,” says Spielberg, “and the great writer Melissa Mathison, who also wrote ‘E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial,’ wrote ‘The BFG.’”

“The BFG” opens in U.S. theaters on July 1, 2016, the year that marks the 100th anniversary of Dahl’s birth!

The Jungle Book In Theaters Everywhere On April 15th! #JungleBook

Directed by Jon Favreau (“Iron Man”), based on Rudyard Kipling’s timeless stories and inspired by Disney’s classic animated film, “The Jungle Book” is an all-new live-action epic adventure about Mowgli (newcomer Neel Sethi), a man-cub who’s been raised by a family of wolves. But Mowgli finds he is no longer welcome in the jungle when fearsome tiger Shere Khan (voice of Idris Elba), who bears the scars of Man, promises to eliminate what he sees as a threat. Urged to abandon the only home he’s ever known, Mowgli embarks on a captivating journey of self-discovery, guided by panther-turned-stern mentor Bagheera (voice of Ben Kingsley), and the free-spirited bear Baloo (voice of Bill Murray). Along the way, Mowgli encounters jungle creatures who don’t exactly have his best interests at heart, including Kaa (voice of Scarlett Johansson), a python whose seductive voice and gaze hypnotizes the man-cub, and the smooth-talking King Louie (voice of Christopher Walken), who tries to coerce Mowgli into giving up the secret to the elusive and deadly red flower: fire. The all-star cast also includes Lupita Nyong'o as the voice of the fiercely protective mother wolf Raksha, and Giancarlo Esposito as the voice of wolf pack’s alpha male Akela.

“The Jungle Book” seamlessly blends live-action with photorealistic CGI animals and environments, using up-to-the-minute technology and storytelling techniques to immerse audiences in an enchanting and lush world.

Notes:
· Neel Sethi, now 12, was selected from thousands of candidates following a worldwide search for the perfect man-cub.
· The all-star voice cast includes Oscar®-winners Ben Kingsley (“Learning to Drive,” “The Walk”), Lupita Nyong’o (“12 Years a Slave,” “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”) and Christopher Walken ("The Deer Hunter"), as well as Bill Murray ("Lost in Translation"), Idris Elba (“Star Trek Beyond”), Scarlett Johansson (“Avengers: Age of Ultron”) and Giancarlo Esposito ("Breaking Bad').
· Rudyard Kipling penned the collection of short stories, “The Jungle Book,” in the early 1890s from his home in Vermont.
· State-of-the-art technology is behind larger-than-life jungle creatures that join Neel Sethi’s Mowgli on screen in an all-new, immersive, jaw-dropping viewing experience. The film will be spectacular in 3D and IMAX 3D.

Upon her return to London, she comes across a magical looking glass and returns to the fantastical realm of Underland and her friends the White Rabbit (Sheen), Absolem (Rickman), the Cheshire Cat (Fry) and the Mad Hatter (Depp), who is not himself. The Hatter has lost his Muchness, so Mirana (Hathaway) sends Alice on a quest to borrow the Chronosphere, a metallic globe inside the chamber of the Grand Clock which powers all time. Returning to the past, she comes across friends – and enemies – at different points in their lives, and embarks on a perilous race to save the Hatter before time runs out.
