I recently received a box of candy from the 1970's from Old Time Candy Company to review. The box contained Candy Buttons, Swedish Fish, Jaw Breakers, Bottle Caps, York Peppermint Pattie, Sweetarts, Tootsie Pop Drops, Hot Dog gum, Kit Kat, Reese's Pieces, Fire Balls, Gobstoppers, Rolos, Vanilla Turkish Taffy, Mike & Ike's, Hot Tamales, Charleston Chew,Whatchamacalit, Hershey's Special Dark, Wax Lips, Candy Cigarettes, and many others! My family and I have enjoyed trying out some candy that we had never had the opportunity to taste before, and some that we had.
These are the candies that I remembered the most and I hadn't seen in years!
When my sisters and I were little, we used to run outside to the curb and wait for our local ice cream man who used to drive down our streets in the summer. He always sold Hot Dog bubble gum for 10 cents each, for a two pack! This was our favorite candy bubble gum when we were little girls!
