#Battroborg 3-In-1 Battle Arena From #TOMY Review! #ProductReview

I was a little skeptical about the Battroborg Battle Arena from Tomy. As the reviews on Amazon are mixed. Some people like it, and some people don't. I didn't know that after a few minutes of playing with the robots, how to reset them after their lights turn red and the controllers make noise to signify that the robot was hit five (5) times, making that robot out of the game.

Set Up Instructions:

1) Put batteries in the controllers.

2) Make sure controllers are in off position (in the middle).

3) Make sure robots are turned off. Then plug the end of the big controller into the bottom of the robot's backpacks. Then turn the switch on the controllers to the left (Charging). Both green and red lights should come on. Now your robot is charging. Should take about 20 minutes. When green light goes off, and red light is remaining on, your Battroborgs are charged.

4) Set up the battle arena while Battroborg robots are charging.

Pros:
  • Easy to charge the robots.
  • Easy to put the arena together.
  • Fun to play!
Cons:
  • Instructions on where the stickers go are not really clear. The stickers are hard to get off of the sticker sheet. I wish that there was a better, real photo of where to attach the stickers.
  • Take 20 minutes to charge, for 20 minutes of play time, which almost exact. (This is a con because my kids don't like the 20 minutes of down time inbetween playing with their robots.)
  • No storage bag to put the arena, robots, and controllers in when we aren't using it.
  • Cord between controllers could be longer. I am worried about my 6 1/2 and 4 1/2 year year olds ripping them out or damaging them by being too rough swinging them back and forth. (We showed them how to work the robots and be gentle, but they are kids.)
  • I wish that it took 10 hits to the face before my children have to bring their robots to me to reset them, instead of 5. I showed them how to do it, but they didn't seem to understand.
  •

My husband even got in on the fun! He read the instructions and found out that we can place the elastic arena bands into three different places! He seemed to enjoy this way the most, while my children enjoyed having the arena wide open so they could move their robots around more.

After you get the Battroborg robots battling and hitting one another, once the robot is hit five (5) times, you need to only touch his face for a few seconds, and then the robot resets itself. Be super careful with the Battroborg robots, as I read that their arms can come off. I just told my children not to touch the arms, just in case.

Keep Your Kids Entertained This Summer At Home And On The Go With Squiggle Pads And Games RandomLine Inc.! #ProductReview #OnTheGo #TravelGames

Around this time of year, we have Father's Day, and then two weeks later, it's my husband's birthday, then on July 2nd, it's Hailey's 2nd birthday, and on July 20th, Chloe will be 5 years old! For those of you who have watched my children grow up, this is a crazy summer for us with Father's day and 3 birthdays! But it's fun at the same time!

We go out to eat for each event, we spend time together doing things as a family. For Father's Day, we went out to eat the Saturday before to a restaurant in downtown Nashville that my husband said had great hamburgers! I am not a huge hamburger person, but it was his choice as to where we were going for lunch. I grabbed the Squiggle Spin and Seek Original on the way out the door thinking that it might be fun to try out, and it was!

My four and a half year old daughter Chloe, my husband, and I spent our time waiting for our meals to come playing it! She enjoyed it so much, that she kept playing it after we got home, and again, the next day! Now when she's looking for something to do, she asks for her Squiggle Spin and Seek pad. My only issue with it was that the little marker wouldn't stay inbetween the cardboard things that pop out to hold the pen. So I put a big paperclip on the end of it, as you can see in the photo above, and the pen stays with the pad perfectly!

Instructions on how to play:
1) Spin the wheel
2) Find the three objects in the area that the arrow points to
3) Color them in with the yellow pen (that comes with it), a pencil, or crayon.
4) Spin the wheel and start all over again!

Doodling was once thought of as a mindless activity, but studies are now showing the opposite results. Not only is it linked to helping one remember, it can also inspire creativity. Everyone loves to doodle, and the line of SQUIGGLE activity pads and games is a simple vehicle to make that happen. The Chief Squiggler at RandomLine Inc. believes doodling fuels creativity, helping to unlock the creative genius inside. The SQUIGGLE line of award winning games and activity pads now includes over 30 doodle pads and Spin and Seek hidden-object pads that offer something for all ages and interests.

SQUIGGLE® doodle pads are based on a simple concept of turning a squiggly line into a picture. Everyone can do it.

The benchmark product, SQUIGGLE® On-The-Go for ages 5 and up encourages creativity by creating the starting point for a child to begin. It gives them a place to begin instead of staring at a blank piece of paper, which can be intimidating at times. SQUIGGLE® On-The-Go has won multiple awards, is parent approved and great for on-the-go usage. It's compact, cute and goes anywhere while keeping kids to adults amused for hours! Create works of art with just the start of a squiggly line. $4.99

SQUIGGLE® Spin and Seek™ is a fun hidden-object game that will keep everyone busy for hours! Spin the wheel and find the hidden objects the spinner lands on. Spin the wheel again to select another set of hidden objects or try an entirely new page . . . they are all unique. There are 100 pages with objects hidden within thousands of squiggly lines. A great for travel activity that will never run out of batteries! Select from the Original Spin and Seek, BFF, and Fashion. For ages 4 and up; retails for $5.99.

· SQUIGGLE® Selection Game - Players create a quick drawing that starts with a squiggle. The judge picks a word card from the deck and awards it to the drawing that best describes the word on the card! Ages 7+. $19.99.

· SQUIGGLE® Connect Game - an off-the-wall, hilarious game where players create a wild and wacky picture from a simple or comple squiggle. There's no artistic talent required . . . just the imagination! Ages 8- 108. $19.99.

· Hurry-Up! The Dice Game - is a fast paced dice game where players compete to get the best scores, but they better hurry up because the 30 second clock is ticking and time is running out! Ages 8+. $19.99.

RandomLine also offers a line of award winning games and wipe off drawing pads.

· SQUIGGLE® Style - Bring out the fashion designer by mixing and matching clothing and accessories to create unique, hip, funny and wild outfits. Style opens up to a dry erase drawing art board and includes 6 coloring dry erase markers. Ages 7+. $14.99.

· SQUIGGLE® Monsters –First create a squiggly line on the dry-erase board, then spin the wheels to select a combination of features to make a monster. The best part is getting to make up “fun facts” about the monster on another dry-erase area. Ages 6+. $14.99.

RandomLine games and creative activity pads are available in the specialty market, educational stores, book stores, gift shops and museums throughout the United States.

TOMY John Deere Toys Review and Giveaway! (U.S.) Ends 8/11 (Rafflecopter)

There isn't too much that I can say about the John Deere Whistle & Go Puppy and the John Deere First Animals Puzzles except that my 5 1/2 year old son, my 4 year old daughter, and my 1 year old daughter LOVE them! The whistle sometimes gets a little annoying if you have a headache, or if your tired. But the two toys have kept my children busy, that's for sure.

The John Deere Whistle & Go Puppy comes to life when you blow the John Deere whistle! Just blow the whistle once and the little puppy comes running forward. Blow the whistle twice, and the puppy goes backward. Blow the whistle with one long whistle, and the puppy will go around in circles! We found this out by playing with him! The puppy’s ears flop with endless excitement as he runs around! The John Deere Whistle & Go Puppy retails for around $19.99. It's recommended for children ages 2 and up! Though, when the puppy is turned off, and the whistle is put away, my 12 month old loves playing with it. It requires 2 AA batteries (not included).

The John Deere First Animals Puzzle comes with three-puzzles-in-one and has easy-turning colorful pieces, learning your first animals is more fun than ever! Perfectly sized for little hands to hold and carry! It’s the perfect toy for any car ride! It retails for around $7.99, and is recommended for ages 1+. Safari Ltd. Review and Giveaway! (U.S.) Ends 7/9 (Rafflecopter)

My daughter Chloe loves baby dolls, her baby sister, fairies, magic, princess, and animals. She is interested in so many things, that I was happy when I found Safari Ltd.'s cute little toys and replicas! I can buy little toys for her to play with at home and on the go, and she will have plenty of them to play with, and to help her to use her imagination! Chloe chose the Bunny Rabbit and Mama Pig with the baby piggies to check out. I think that they are so cute! She was playing with them with her little people and the little house. The animals are soft enough to play with and enjoy, but not hard enough to hurt my almost one year old if thrown across the room. Yes, with an almost four year old daughter, and six year old son, sometimes this happens.

These cute little trains are from a TOOB from Safari Ltd.!

My son Matthew will be six years old in a few months, and he loves cars, Disney's Cars, Thomas, building things, reading, and trains.  He chose the Trains Toob. It comes with one engine, six cars, one caboose, and two little buildings. We take these with us when we go to restaurants, doctor's offices, or somewhere that we know Matthew will have to sit for a while and he needs some toys to play with. These also don't take up a lot of space! I can't wait to purchase more of Safari Ltd. products for my children for Christmas!

Safari Ltd. has dragons, horses, people, jungle animals, zoo animals, pets, dinosaurs, vehicles, unicorns, pegasus, glow in the dark starfish, a glow in the dark spider (perfect for those Halloween spider webs), historical figures, historical buildings, landmarks, fish, birds, ocean mammals, butterflies, and more!

All of Safari Ltd.'s products are lead free, phthalate free, and thoroughly safety tested.

Check out the Safari Ltd. website for some FREE Coloring pages that you can print out of Safari Ltd.'s products to help keep your little ones busy! They also have Free E-Cards, Desktop Wallpaper, and Desktop Calenders! FREE Shipping on ALL orders over $50.00!

Safari Ltd. is going to let the Winner Choose up to $30.00 worth of products from their website!!! Giveaway open to residents of the 48 continental United States only, 18 years of age or older. No P.O. Boxes, sorry.

Dr. Seuss Wood Alphabet Puzzle Review!

There is a big variety of games, puzzles, and learning toys to check out on Wonder Forge. You can find other Dr. Seuss games and products, Chuggington games, Angelina Ballerina games and puzzles, Curious George games, Mythbusters game, and more! Their products and games have been featured on The Today Show and Live With Regis and Kelly!

We recently had a chance to review the Dr. Seuss Wood Alphabet Puzzle from The Wonder Forge. Your children can learn their A,B,C's along with favorite Dr. Seuss characters like The Cat in the Hat, Fox in Socks, The Grinch, Horton, Yertle the Turtle, and many more! Under every letter is a picture that relates to that letter in the alphabet. Under the A is an airplane and under the B is a ball.

It is a beautiful puzzle decorated with many well known characters from the Dr. Seuss books, including The Grinch, Thing 1, and Thing 2! It states that the puzzle is for ages 3 and up, but my 2 1/2 year old loves it and she can put it together herself! She has actually learned to recognize a few letters of the alphabet by sight! She knows the alphabet song very well, but she hasn't ever fully recognized anything other than A, B, and C. Now she knows D, E, F, G, H, and I! And she has only been playing with this puzzle for about a week.

The Wooden A, B, C's are the perfect size for little hands to grasp onto and place into the puzzle. What a great way for her to learn her A, B, C's and to learn more about the characters from Dr. Seuss!

To check out the Dr. Seuss Wood Alphabet Puzzle and to check out other awesome learning toys, go to TheWonderForge.com. This puzzle can be purchased at your local Target, Toys R Us, Walmart, and on Amazon.com.

De-clutter and Organize Toys in Your Child’s Playroom Today!

We have two playrooms in our house! One is up in the room/den above our garage, and the other one is in my daughter's bedroom/playroom. It can be very hard to keep all of the toys organized and put in the correct bins. I find that having a place for almost every toy and book is key!

Here are my Ten Best Strategies for De-Cluttering and Organizing Toys in Your Child's Playroom:

1) Never leave the playroom without picking up some or all of the toys.

2) Make it a fun game to pick up the toys! See who can pick up and put away the most toys the fastest! My two children, ages two and four love this game!

3) Have a place for the books, cars, blocks, dolls and stuffed animals, etc. Every toy should have a place to go when it's put away.

4) Go through the toys in your children's playroom once a month, and put away any toys that they aren't playing with. Wait for a few months, and bring those toys out again for your children to enjoy. If they aren't playing with them at all, then it's time to donate them, take them to a Consignment Sale, give them away to a younger child, or have a yard sale!

5) Put away or get rid of baby toys. I had two dozen baby toys in the toy box that our children weren't playing with, so I put them away for a future child to use, or to give away to a friend in a few months who just had a newborn baby!

6) Teach your children to keep Mr. Potato Head pieces together, Duplos inside of a certain box or bin, books together, etc. I find this difficult, as my children are still young. They don't realize that everything should be kept together.

7) Sort though the toy box and match up any toys that should go together. Put the Little People with the Little people house, animals with the farm house, cars with the race track pieces, trains with the train tracks, etc. I am constantly doing this. When my children do help me pick things up, every little piece, including puzzle pieces, end up in the toy box.

8) Clean up any toys that you trip over or that are in your way. Ask your children to keep certain paths, like to doors and windows, clear of toys, etc. This will help you and your children to get to the doors or windows quickly in case of an emergency too! My children might be little, but they do understand not to block the path to our bookcase, not to put toys near our dog's kennels, or to block the gate that leads downstairs with toys. They are really good about this. We have been teaching them to keep the paths clear since they could crawl.

9) Take some toys to the babysitters house, or to grandmas! This way, when your children are over there visiting, they will have some toys to play with that belong to them!

10) Ask Grandparents to buy small toys, books, or clothes for your children, and to put the rest of the money that they might have spent on toys, into your child's college fund! We have been doing this since our children were born. We have so many toys, and our children really don't need any more. So when we receive cash or checks for our children for their birthdays or holidays, we put the money into their bank accounts! They can then have this money after they graduate to use for college, a new car, or to move out!

John Deere Roll and Go Flashlight from Learning Curve Review and Giveaway! (US/CAN) Ends 9/4

The John Deere Roll and Go Flashlight from Learning Curve is pretty cool! My three and a half year old son couldn't wait for me to get it out of the package! He loves squeezing the red handle to turn on the flashlight and tractor engine sounds! When he squeezes the handle, the hood of the tractor opens up, the flashlight comes on, and it makes engine noises, all at the same time. The wheels also work! So it also makes a great John Deere Tractor Toy also. After about a minute and a half to two minutes, the flashlight shuts itself off.

Pros:
- It makes a Great Toy!
- The Tractor Engine Sounds are cool!

Cons:
- The Trigger or Handle is a little hard to pull up on. Sometimes it takes a few tries to get it to work. But I am noticing, the more we play with it, the easier the handle is to pull up on!

Buy It:
Purchase the John Deere Flashlight on Amazon.com, currently on sale for $11.08. It is recommended for ages 18 months and up. You can also purchase it at Target and Toys R Us for $12.99.

Open to U.S. and Canada!!!

Disclosure: I received the John Deere Roll and Go Tractor Flashlight for review from a PR firm, no other financial compensation was received.

Green Toys (Eco-Friendly Toys) Review!

We don't own many toys in our home that require batteries for four reasons:

1) Batteries are expensive!
2) They don't require kids to use their imaginations.
3) Batteries are not good for the environment.
4) Most toys aren't Eco-Friendly.

These are only some of the toys you can purchase from Green Toys! I think that my daughter and son are getting the Dump Trucks from Santa this year! They love Big, Chunky vehicles to play with! We own probably around 6 or 8 of them already, but they play with them the most. You can even purchase Tablewear that your children can use when eating real food! It's nice to know that we can purchase products for our children to eat off of and with, and they are one hundred percent Safe. There are many products not shown above, including Pretend Food Playsets, a Tea Set, Sand Toys, Teethers, and more!

I really love Green Toys! All Green Toys products are made of 100 percent recycled plastic! Even the package of light weight cardboard that the toys we reviewed came in, were made of recycled materials! ALL Green Toys are made in the U.S.A.!!! There are NO trace amounts of Phthalates or BPA in any of Green Toys products . They are also non-toxic, designed without any external coatings, eliminating the fear of lead paint. Purchasing Green Toys Saves Energy!

Green Toys use recycled milk containers as the main ingredient in creating their toys. Yes, the exact plastic milk jugs that you and your family drink from every day. When you finish your milk and toss the container in the recycling bin, these milk containers are collected at your curb by a local recycling company, who then sorts them from all the other types of plastic. Next, the milk containers are reprocessed into super clean fresh plastic. For you plastic geeks, the plastic material they use is called high-density polyethylene (or HDPE). This material is considered one of the safest, cleanest plastics around. (Mostly Copied from Here.)

My family and I had the chance to review the Tugboats from Green Toys! They are very durable and cute! I love that they float without tipping over. My children love holding them down into the water and filling them up with water, so that they can poor the water out over and over again! Both of my children, my three and a half year old son and my two year old daughter, LOVE their Tugboats! After they are dry, both of my children want to play with them outside of the bathtub and their pool. The handles on the Tugboats make them very easy to hold and take along anywhere! We are taking a road trip later this year, and the Tugboats will be going with us because they are so versatile. All of the products from Green Toys are Dishwasher Safe.

Buy It:
Green Toys can be purchased directly from Green Toys.com or on Amazon.com. (There is a list on their website stating other stores Worldwide to purchase Green Toys from.)
