SYNOPSIS: Young Anthony Soprano (Michael Gandolfini) is growing up in one of the most tumultuous eras in Newark’s history, becoming a man just as rival gangsters begin to rise up and challenge the all-powerful DiMeo crime family’s hold over the increasingly race-torn city. Caught up in the changing times is the uncle he idolizes, Dickie Moltisanti (Alessandro Nivola), who struggles to manage both his professional and personal responsibilities—and whose influence over his nephew will help make the impressionable teenager into the all-powerful mob boss we’ll later come to know: Tony Soprano.

My Review and Thoughts: Twenty years ago, I was twenty six. I started watching Smallville back when I was around sixteen years old. I loved the show and it's storyline so much, that I never missed an episode! The relationship between Clark and his parents was neat to see. I especially liked that John Schneider was his father in this series. I have followed him since he was on The Dukes of Hazzard TV show. I can't wait to dig into the bonus features listed below!

Julie Christie – An Academy award-winning British actress and icon of the "Swinging Sixties", Julie Christie was a woman of Greenham Common, joining them for "Embrace the Base" and, later, going with an all-women delegation to Washington to take the peace movement’s message to the US.
Rose McGowan - An actress and activist named one of TIME's Silence Breakers, Rose McGowan appears in MOTHERS OF THE REVOLUTION.
Glenda Jackson (narrator) – An Academy-award winning actress and Labour MP for 23 years, during Glenda’s political career she was known for her energetic commitment to a number of causes - most notably social exclusion and transport. Since returning to acting in 2015, Glenda has gone on to win a Tony, a BAFTA and an International Emmy.
Briar March (director) - A documentarian and Fulbright scholar, her latest film, MOTHERS OF THE REVOLUTION honors the Greenham Common Women.
Lucy Lawless - New Zealand icon Lucy Lawless, most known for her role as "Xena the Warrior Princess", appears is MOTHERS OF THE REVOLUTION.
Rebecca Johnson – Greenham peace women and Noble Peace Prize Winner, Rebecca lived at the camp for 6+ years during which she was involved in all of the major actions and was often in media. In particular, Rebecca climbed the air traffic control tower and broke into the main operating room. After the INF treaty was signed, she attended a Pugwash conference where she witnessed Gorbechev give credit to the women at Greenham Common and their direct influence on him during his negotiations with Reagan. After Greenham, Rebecca went on to receive a Noble Peace Prize for her work with ICAN (International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons) establishing an international ban to rid Nuclear Weapons for good. Since Greenham, her fight against nuclear weapons has continued.
Chris Drake - After her first visit to Greenham her life was changed forever, never before had she felt more connected with her true self. Chris provides a deeply personal perspective of motherhood, identity, LGBTQ issues, imprisonment and feminism in the 80s, showing the personal sacrifices one mother makes for her children, but at a cost.
Karmen Thomas - Involved in the conception of original March/ makes a trip to Russia to meet with the Moscow Group for Trust and bravely challenges Soviet authorities. Returns to Russia a second time with a group of 30 women from Greenham. Visits Greenham regularly for all major actions. Karmen is the influencer, always thinking of the next move (be it starting a march with Ann Pettitt, or going to Russia to meet the peace women's counterparts).
Olga Medvedkov - Russian Trust Member who attends a meeting with Karmen, Ann, and Jean at the Official Peace Committee.
My Review and Thoughts: This is extremely powerful! Brilliant and wonderfully done! These women wanted to make a better world for their children and for their families. Many of the women were at the camp for months, or a few years. It took them not standing down to make the world change. Every person needs to see this film.
This rings true with what's going on in our world today. We need to start standing up for what we know is right with our kids, schools, and a certain jab. If we don't, we will soon lose our freedoms. Even if you have gotten the jab, you and your family will also suffer. More lock downs, more restrictions, forever wearing a mask. This is not okay, and this is not normal. We need to start staging protests, sit-ins, walk-outs, and more! And one day just won't cut it! It needs to be for days or weeks at a time, or more, for however long it takes to gain attention.

My Review: I LOVE this movie! I'd watch it again for sure! It was very heartwarming, but all so true about what could happen to our parents, and eventually, to us as we get older. We could find ourselves alone, and doing things alone. I even feel that living in a community like this is best as we get older. As we can make friends, and possibly even find love again. I also enjoyed the mean girls concept. Some older people become mean and bitter just to guard their own hearts. They don't realize that they are pushing people away when they do this. I was cool to see Helen show Janet (Jane Curtain) that she's a good person and to lighten up and live, instead of being mean and bitter towards most other people. I give this movie 5 stars!

My three children and I have have seen all of the Spirit animated series on Netflix and we've seen the first Spirit movie that was released back in 2002. This movie, "Spirit Untamed," is more based on the Netflix series. If you're a fan of the series, you and your children will LOVE this movie!
If you haven't checked out the Spirit Series on Netflix, now's your chance (Spirit: Riding Free, Spirit: Pony Tales, Spirit: Riding Free, Riding Academy, and Spirit: Riding Free: Ride Along Adventure, Interactive)! Start with Spirit: Riding Free first! It's eight seasons long and oh so cute! I'd say, for children three and up. As an adult, I love it too!
About the movie, it's super cute, fun, adorable, and adventurous! It's rated G! It's a GREAT family movie and less than an hour and a half long. Take your kids or grandkids, and go see this movie!
SYNOPSIS: An epic adventure about a headstrong girl longing for a place to belong who discovers a kindred spirit when her life intersects with a wild horse, Spirit Untamed is the next chapter in the beloved story from DreamWorks Animation.
Lucky Prescott (Isabela Merced, Dora and the Lost City of Gold) never really knew her late mother, Milagro Navarro (Eiza González, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw), a fearless horse-riding stunt performer from Miradero, a small town on the edge of the wide-open frontier.
Like her mother, Lucky isn’t exactly a fan of rules and restrictions, which has caused her Aunt Cora (Academy Award® winner Julianne Moore) no small amount of worry. Lucky has grown up in an East Coast city under Cora’s watchful eye, but when Lucky presses her own luck with one too many risky escapades, Cora picks up stakes and moves them both back with Lucky’s father, Jim (Oscar® nominee Jake Gyllenhaal), in Miradero.
Lucky is decidedly unimpressed with the sleepy little town. When a heartless horse wrangler (Emmy nominee Walton Goggins, FX’s Justified) and his team plan to capture Spirit and his herd and auction them off to a life of captivity and hard labor, Lucky enlists her new friends and bravely embarks on the adventure of a lifetime to rescue the horse who has given her freedom and a sense of purpose, and has helped Lucky discover a connection to her mother’s legacy and to her Mexican heritage that she never expected.

How far would you go to survive?... A small town detective while investigating the disappearance of a local woman comes across an unassuming Sociology professor who lives a double life.
My Review and Thoughts:
A tad suspenseful, but not really. I was on the edge of my seat a few times, but to me, it wasn't enough. I wanted more. This movie does show though how victims form a trauma bond with their captors, and how it keeps them from trying to escape. I wanted them to hurt their captor so badly.
WELCOME MATT is written and directed by Leon Pierce Jr and also stars Deon Cole, Jazsmin Lewis-Kelley, Dorien Wilson, and G.G. Townson. Coming to theaters and on demand on Friday, May 28, 2021.
Matt (Tahj Mowry) is a twenty something year old up and coming filmmaker that encounters a traumatic experience on the verge of his big break into the film industry. As a result of suffering this traumatic incident, he finds himself developing agoraphobia and is now unable to leave his home. Feeling compelled to stay inside where he believes it to be safe, but still wanting to create art, he decides to write, direct and star in a feature film project that no one believes in! As a result of this, his girlfriend breaks up with him, he finds himself being broke and facing an eviction and his only saving grace is to take a movie deal to get back on his feet. But in order to do so, he must overcome his fear of going outside. So, with the help of an in-home therapist, Matt makes an effort to overcome his fears and go outside, in hopes of living a better and much more fulfilling life.
My Review and Thoughts:
I couldn't imagine being in Matt's place. With Covid and the stay at home orders, I feel that we will see more and more people with agoraphobia. The media had some people so afraid to go outside, let alone, that they had to wear masks while outside, in their cars, and even, inside their own homes! I pray that this never happens to someone I know. Life goes on when people withdraw from it like Matt did. Matt was a film maker, and people are just dying for him to make more movies! Does Matt go outside? Or does he let his fear overtake him? Watch Welcome Matt to find out! This movie is awesome!
In pre-revolutionary Cuba, a young Angela Alvarez announced to her family that she wanted to be a singer and songwriter but was immediately forbidden to do so by her father and grandfather. Such endeavors were not permitted for women. And so she was relegated to writing her songs in secret. She married and had four children before the world turned upside down. For Angela and her family, the revolution quickly shifted from emancipation to repression. The schools were closed and there were threats that children would be removed from their parents to be raised in Leninist-Marxist education camps; the Alvarez family decided they had to get out. But when her own visa was refused at Havana airport Angela made the agonizing decision to send her children on and catch up. They became part of the Pedro Pan exodus where 14,500 unaccompanied children were spirited out of Cuba between 1960-62. It took Angela four more long, frightening years to escape and reunite her family, finally settling down in the United States. Only decades later would her music find life, culminating in a concert at the historic Avalon in Hollywood, hosted by Academy Award winner, Andy Garcia, no less. It’s a stunning example of overcoming adversity, defying the odds, and pursuing the American Dream.

My Review and Thoughts:
I enjoyed watching the story of Angela Alvarez. She lived an amazing life! No mother should ever have to bury their child, but she did. And she lived her life, for them too! Angela is a great singer and song writer! I wish I could have been at her concert in Los Angeles. That would have been so fun! Hearing that her and her children were separated for 2-3 years was heartbreaking. But it was nice to hear that they were reunited eventually. This is a great story about Angela's life, where she grew up, and about her children and her singing too!
I know that we just got done celebrating Mother's Day, but Father's Day is coming up on Sunday, June 20, 2021! Happy belated Mother's Day to you all, if your a mom, or single dad, step-parent, or a grandparent raising your grandchildren. On May the 4th, otherwise known as Star Wars Day, Disney+ will release a brand-new original Star Wars series, “Star Wars: The Bad Batch;” a first-of-its-kind Star Wars-themed short from “The Simpsons;” and multiple themed cinematic experiences in celebration of a galaxy far, far away.
As a special treat for fans, Disney+ will debut “Maggie Simpson in ‘The Force Awakens From Its Nap,’” a new Star Wars-inspired short, bringing characters from the Star Wars galaxy to the fictional town of Springfield. The new promotional short is the first of several from “The Simpsons” that Disney+ will release throughout the year paying tribute to the service’s marquee brands and titles.
Additionally, to celebrate the creativity and artistry of the Star Wars community, Lucasfilm and Disney+ have commissioned original artwork to take over the service for several days – a first for the platform. A global group of artists and Star Wars fans have created illustrations representing an assortment of Star Wars movies and original series, bringing them to life in their own unique styles. The artwork will be featured on the service until May 9 and will also be available for purchase through Amazon.

My review and thoughts:
Hana's son goes missing when she was in the town of Billing. She begins to investigate why she's hearing creepy noises. Then, she sees children run into the field of corn. Her neighbor leads her to believe that she's seeing things and says, "What children?" When in fact, the neighbor knew exactly what Hana was talking about. When Hana's son went missing, there were so many fields to search, that the local police gave up. They didn't want to burn the fields down because it would have meant a loss of crops for locals.
Does Hana find her missing son's remains? Does she solve the mystery of the children in the fields? This isn't a horror movie at all. Not really scary. But a good story overall.

I'll See You Around explores a day in Lucas's life, a 30-year-old African-American man living in Ithaca, New York, who is trying to finish his degree at community college. After discovering that his older brother, Kenji, who has just been released from jail, may be responsible for stealing his laptop to buy drugs, Lucas embarks on an emotional journey to learn how to cope with betrayal and dangerous blood ties. We follow Lucas as he navigates his relationships with his mother, child’s mother, and Ivy League girlfriend while most importantly striving to be a good father to his daughter. Will he be able to reconcile with those he loves, or will his troubled past destroy his chances?
My Review and Thoughts:
Lucas lives a lot inside of his own head. He doesn't communicate too well with others. Throughout the movie though, you can tell what he's thinking about with his day to day life. His father was killed wen he was younger and his older brother is into drugs. Lucas's mother loves her boys, but she's blind to the stuff that her older son does. Lucas is a good father and he takes care of his daughter and her mother. I don't have much more to say about it then that. Lucas struggles a lot with his issues and his family.
DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT: My creative vision for I’ll See You Around developed out of a collaboration with my childhood friend, Lucas Monroe, a thirty-year-old man living in Ithaca, NY, where his family fled after his father was murdered in Poughkeepsie. A few years ago, Lucas approached me about helping him write his memoir, which quickly transitioned into making a short film with him titled “While I Was Gone.” After the short’s successful festival run at LA Film Festival, Dallas International, Flickers’ Rhode Island, Denver Film Festival, and Palm Springs International ShortFest, we immediately decided to make a micro-budget feature and dove further into developing the storyline together.
Sharing his personal life felt important and brave. I discovered that Lucas’ story and his natural talent on screen were a kind of hidden magnificence. He had so much to say about his past and constantly struggled to share his feelings. I was motivated to make this film for so many reasons, but most deeply because I want to build empathy. We worked together to create a dramatic narrative that uses incidents from his real-life to convey his struggle to come to terms with his father’s murder, cope with his brother’s addiction and incarceration, and learn to accept the responsibility of fatherhood.
The film is an intimate and mysterious portrait that probes specific incidents and relationships in his real-life revealed with an improvised quality rarely seen. It became an opportunity to explore Lucas’s story, and it gave him a platform to develop as an artist and explore his psyche. I really liked "Baby Done!" I thought it was hilarious at points, and kind of sad at others. All of Zoe's and Tim's friends are either pregnant, or have young children. Zoe climbs trees for a living, and she's very good at it. She's feminine, but somewhat, a tom boy too, like me! She wasn't quite ready to have children yet. She wanted to do more in her life first. This movie wasn't cheesy at all, and not predictable either.
In the end, Zoe learns that she is a great mom, and that she can still go on adventures, only she now has the bonus of taking her baby with her and Tim when they travel!

First off, we have no idea where we caught it. But, it was from either going out to eat, or to Walmart. Yes, you can catch Covid from Walmart!

1) Gatorade, and lots of it
2) Pedialyte (because Gatorade doesn't work for everyone)
3) Cases of 16oz. bottled water (4-5)
4) Cool Mist Humidifiers (one for each bedroom, use in the rest of the house as needed throughout the day)
5) Fingertip Pulse Oximeter Blood Oxygen Saturation Monitor (You will NEED this and want to keep one on hand at all times. I bought this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06Y2FFQB9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
6) Snacks, crackers, soup, rolls, like Hawaiian rolls, tortillas, bread, gogurt or yogurt, oranges (mandarin oranges in cans for kids, they taste the best), bananas, apples, pasta, and whatever else you need to get you through. So far, we haven't drank a lot of coffee, just gatorade, water, and juice. Laundry soap, toilet paper, and the usual stuff you will need to be home with your family for two weeks, minimum.
7) Gummy Probiotics for adults and children (for about 10 days after you have the virus)
8) Gummy Vitamins - D-3, B-12, and Vitamin C (All vitaFusion brand is what I bought, my girls love them) Also, Zinc for the adults if you can find it. Your belly digests these way better than the pill form when you have Covid.
9) Tylenol or Motrin, and liquid children's tylenol, or motrin, 2 bottles per child, or more. You will need this on hand for fevers and headaches that just randomly spring up out of the blue for young children.
10) Mucinex for adults, children's day time and night time Mucinex for kids (1 bottle each for children)
If you run out of anything, you can go line and order groceries and meds and have them delivered, or have a neighbor or someone pick them up for you. Don't leave the house. Don't open the door when people come to deliver stuff to you. Just text them back a huge thank you, and answer the door a few minutes after they leave to grab your items.
Our symptoms started out with sneezing, coughing and being congested. At first, it felt like a head cold. Then came the aches on our necks, shoulders and arms. To me, it felt like my legs and feet were heavy. I was only achy for a few days, and then fine. Then, I had a bad belly ache. It felt like I had really bad gas for 24 hours. I thought I was going to die! But I was okay.
If you're a mom, do laundry when you can and dishes too. Every hour get up and walk around and check on everyone in your household. Check their temps and blood oxygen levels, even if they seem fine to you. Keep a notebook with everyone's readings if you can. Even if you only write them down 3 times a day, it's better than nothing.
REST and drink your water and Gatorade! I can't stress this enough. I drink a 32 oz. bottle of Gatorade everyday. My girls drink half of one, each, which seems plenty for them.
Catch up on some shows when you can. Read books. You won't feel much like playing video games, board games, etc. You most likely will want to rest the first 5-8 days, and on then on and off after that. I sleep most nights now from 9 or 10pm until 8am or later. Seems like a lot, but it's hard to nap during the day. So we sleep more at night.
Good luck if you catch it. This virus is like nothing I've ever had before! Oh, and do go get tested. Your work and children's school will most likely want to see your results.
