My Review:
My six year old said that it was very cool. We enjoyed reading about the different feelings. My daughter said that they were similar to those on a recent children's movie with five feelings! The 3-D Pop-Up pages are super neat and they really help to make the book come alive. Great book to read most anytime, day or night and anytime of year.

Learning good manners has never been as monstrously fun!

My Review:
Mind Your Monsters is a nice story about some Monsters who are destroying the town that Wally lives in. He tries tricks and treats, but nothing works. Wally has finally had enough of these Monsters games, and he says "Will you please stop?" And the monsters finally stop. He asks one of them to please move out of his way, and the monster moves. Then the towns people and Wally start to get along and have fun together. Then the monsters leave the town and go back home, but the promise to come back and visit, because Wally says PLEASE!

Great book for teaching children the word Please! I feel that it also opens up the door to teach children about other manners too. I feel that this book is perfect for children ages 3 to 8!

My Review:
Dining With... Monsters! is a cute children's rhyming book with adorable Monsters inside who eat various things like bats, owls, mice and more. Each monster eats a certain amount of something starting with the number 1 and ending with 10. I had my six and three year old girls laughing by the end of the book because I was doing each page/number with a different voice! They got a kick out of it.

Lemon-Blueberry Stuffed French Toast 
SERVES 4

Ingredients:
Cooking spray
1 cup nonfat milk
4 large eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ loaf challah bread, preferably whole wheat
1 ¼ cups fresh or frozen blueberries (thawed if frozen)
¼ cup nonfat lemon Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon confectioners’ sugar

Directions:
Coat a large skillet with cooking spray.
Heat it on the stove over medium-low heat.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
Cut the challah into eight ½-inch-thick slices.
Submerge half the slices in the egg mixture, being sure to moisten both sides.
Then place soaked slices on the heated skillet and cook until golden brown, about 7 minutes.
Flip and cook on the other side until browned, about 5 minutes.
Remove from the skillet and keep warm.
Spray skillet with cooking spray and repeat with the remaining challah slices.
To make the filling, mash the blueberries and lemon yogurt together in a small bowl.
To assemble each stuffed French toast, place 1 piece of French toast on a plate.
Spread ¼ cup of the lemon-blueberry mixture over the bread. Top with another piece of French toast, and slice in half.
Just before serving, sprinkle the confectioners’ sugar evenly over the stuffed French toast.

SERVING SIZE: 1 stuffed French toast

 My family and I love cheese! We especially love sandwiches with all types of cheese in them! We made some ham for Christmas Day dinner, and we have been using it in as many things that we can think of. Last night, we made mini ham and cheddar cheese sandwiches on rolls! The kids ate them up! My husband thought it was such a great idea, that he made some for himself later last night when he was hungry. We had a late lunch, so we all ate dinner at different times last night, which happens once in a while.

Grilled Cheese sandwiches are great comfort food for some of us. They are especially good when it's cold outside. It's winter right now here in Tennessee, and boy is it cold! Any food that is nice, warm, and easy to fix is what's on the menu for dinner in our home.

They say anything is better once you put cheese on it. Kit Graham of The Kittchen, a popular blog out of Chicago, knows this all too well. She is finally sharing her obsession with cheese as she launches her new cookbook, The Gourmet Grilled Cheese Cookbook.

Grilled cheese is the ultimate comfort food. It can be simply made from bread, cheese, and butter, or it can become a gourmet meal with the addition of more sophisticated ingredients. The goal of The Gourmet Grilled Cheese cookbook was to create recipes that transform the humble grilled cheese into something ‘more’.

This full color cookbook features 20 original recipes for gourmet grilled cheese. The recipes are divided into four sections: Vegetarian, Meat, Seafood, and Add Ins. The Add Ins section is where cheese lovers will find stand-alone recipes for items that are used in some of the grilled cheese recipes. The Add In recipes are referenced in the grilled cheese recipes, but can be enjoyed on their own and in other dishes too:

• Artichoke Dip (This creamy cheesy dip with chunks of artichoke)
• Honey Roasted Walnuts (Sweet honey roasted walnuts with just a hint of cayenne pepper)
