There was a GREAT series on Netflix this fall about a fantastic female Chess player! Something tells me that your friends and family wouldn't mind receiving a beautiful Chess, Chinese Checkers, Dominoes, Mancala, or another wood (or other material) board game for the holidays!

 

I ordered and reviewed a beautiful Agate and lava stone beaded stretch bracelet, 'Quiet Volcano' and some fingerless mitts, 'Andean Sunrise' made of 100% alpaca. The bracelet isn't too big or too small, it fits perfectly and comfortably, not rough or too smooth. I love the colors! When I put it on, I instantly felt this energy from it. I have been feeling angry about losing my father in law and my father having stage four brain cancer. Chances are, my father will pass away sometime in December or January. He decided to forgo any life saving measures, chemo, etc. This bracelet has helped me feel more grounded and in control.

My Review:

This game wasn't too hard to figure out. There's tutorial mode which explains to you how to do everything. I went into the practice to learn how to drive the truck around after I picked which one I wanted, and it was fun going off of ramps, flipping the truck upside down, ramming into stacks of tires, and more! There's also different driver views which is cool also when you're flipping upside down. I hope to actually progress more, race, and add some really cool stuff to my monster truck! I can't wait! Especially right now with everything going on in this crazy world, it's a nice escape. Even if it's only for a little while.

My thirteen year old son and I were going over his homework last night, and he said that he doesn't like looking things up online, and that it takes, forever! I hope you know where this conversation went!

I explained to him that when I was in school, we didn't have computers or to look things up on. That we had to hope that our parents or neighbors had a set of encyclopedias or other books that we could use to research information. Or, we had to go to the library in our town. The school library didn't always have what we needed when it came to history papers, book reports, and more.

I tried explaining to him how easy he has it. He can just go to a search engine, like google or bing, and type in what ever he's looking for, and usually he can find it within a few seconds or so. That we had to read to find the answers. And that with a search engine, he can type in a question, and BOOM, up pops the answer he's looking for! How lucky is he!

My Review:
These candles have wood wicks and they smell AMAZING! I got to burn one for a few hours on a cooler day here in southern California. I can't wait to burn it some more when we move to a state where it's cooler in the winter. These candles also come with Candle Care instructions and a thank you note from the site's owner! I loved the smell of my parent's living room during and after I burned the Gathering Candle (Orange & Clove). The room smelled really good afterwards, and the scents seem to linger in the room for a little while.

My Review:
"BIG CAT" is an adorable children's story! Great for infants up to five year olds, kindergarten age. I love the beautiful illustrations of the tiger, flower garden, the cats and people. So adorable! This would make a great Christmas gift for any little one this Holiday season! Especially if they love animals and cats!

My 2019 Holiday Gift Guide, and A Little About Me!

I wanted this year's Holiday Gift Guide to be special, and different. As I haven't done one in the past two years and I feel that I've learned a lot since then. This time last year, my family and I were on vacation in southern California with my parents and other family. Now, this year, my children and I, find ourselves living with my parents. We moved to California this year in June, and we are hoping to move out in July next year. Being here is tough. As my parents don't like it when my girls scream or raise their voices or get upset. I hide in the bedroom most of the time because the house isn't mine.

My goal is to move to another state and rent a house for a short time, maybe 6 months, so we will unpack some things, but not everything. Then, I'd like to BUY a house of my own, of our own. I want to live some place where my children and I can put down roots and be comfortable in our own home, their school, with our neighbors and with their classmates. But most of all, I want a house that is OURS where we can leave our shoes where ever we want to for the most part, within reason, and no one can say anything about it! So if I walk in the door and leave my shoes by the door, so be it! It's MY front door and I will leave my shoes where I want them! Well, let's pray that our do Lucy doesn't decide to start chewing them up, then, maybe we might have to rethink this option. But Lucy normally isn't out in the house at night where she can tear into things! So this should work, and we are hoping to find some place where we can feel comfortable and spread our wings. So maybe Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Idaho, Montana, Virginia, maybe Pennsylvania? I have no idea, but some place out that way! As I can't afford to live in California at all. Even with a full time job and child support, we'd never pay anything off and I'd always be living paycheck to paycheck. Plus, child support runs out in 11 years, then what? I'd have to find a room to rent, and pray they'll let me bring my cat! Yes, a CAT!!! I haven't had a cat since I was 24, maybe 25 years old! I want a cat darn it!

My Holiday Gift Guide will feature gifts for the family, family games, books to ready as a family, some other items too, but I'm trying to stay away from toys if I can. I want more items that bring families closer together!

My Review:
"How Winston Delivered Christmas" is a cute story book with 25 days worth of stories. This book is meant to be read starting December 1st, and finishing the last chapter on Christmas Day, December 25th. I didn't read past the first chapter because I want to share this book with my children starting December 1st! It would be a great tradition to add to the few we already have created around the holidays. Everyday after you read the chapter, there is something suggested like making ornaments, baking cookies, making a paper chain, paper snowflakes, and more! There's even lyrics to some famous Christmas Carols on the back pages! You and your children or grandchildren will love sharing this book together this December, and every December for years to come! The book also includes a ribbon/bookmark!

My Review:
I love personalized children's story books and products! "Princess Dream Big" children's book is super adorable! Each page you turn has a new story about a different princess. On each page, there's a little personalized space either asking what your child's favorite treasures are, or letting her write down her favorite songs or foods. My four and a half year old daughter and her older sister have read and re-read this book many times. They really enjoy sharing it and reading about the princesses.
